TO INFINITIVE CLAUSES
(MỆNH ĐỀ TO – ĐỘNG TỪ NGUYÊN THỂ)
Một mệnh đề to – động từ nguyên mẫu có thể được sử dụng để:
- thể hiện mục đích.
Ví dụ: He studied hard to pass the exam.
(Anh ấy học hành chăm chỉ để vượt qua kì thi.)
I bought some souvenirs to give my parents.
(Tôi đã mua một số quà lưu niệm để tặng bố mẹ.)
- để xác định một danh từ hay cụm danh từ chứa số thứ tự (the first, the second,…), so sánh nhất (the best,
the most beautiful, …) và next (tiếp theo), last (cuối cùng), và only (duy nhất).
Ví dụ: Ethan is usually the last person to understand the joke.
(Ethan thường là người cuối cùng hiểu câu chuyện cười/ lời nói đùa.)

1. Problems
First, there is a lack of interest in folk culture. Xoan singing has been transmitted from generation to
generation. However, only a few youths want to learn folk singing, and older performers often have no one
to pass down their skills. Moreover, there are limited performance opportunities. Artists may have difficulty
finding places to perform live.

Thứ nhất, đó là sự thiếu quan tâm đến văn hóa dân gian. Hát Xoan được truyền từ đời này sang đời khác.
Tuy nhiên, chỉ một số ít thanh niên muốn học hát dân ca, còn những nghệ nhân lớn tuổi thường không có

2. Solutions
Collecting and restoring old versions of xoan is imperative. It is also important to record or publish them so
that future generations can listen to the recordings or read the song collections. This challenge can be
addressed through the arrangement of competitions or musical events centered around xoan singing. Finally,
there should be more live xoan performances in public places, such as pedestrian streets or historically
significant sites frequented by numerous tourists. This way, xoan singing will reach wider and newer
audiences.
