WEEK 1

The Code of Ethics and several career stages for teachers were topics covered in the

first lecture. I gained knowledge about the broad scope of a teacher's duties in relation

to their influence on students' lives. In addition to being an effective teacher to my future

students and being able to achieve my goal, I can follow the Code of Ethics of a

teacher. While there are four stages of a teacher’s career, and these are the Beginning

Teachers, Proficient Teachers, Highly Proficient Teachers and lastly the Distinguished

Teachers.

How am I able to apply what I have learned as a future teacher? By following the code

of ethics, I can assure myself of being an effective teacher to my students. I am always

going to remember what joyful learning is. Joyful learning means I should always know

and understand what I teach so that I can help my students learn and engage the

community and become a better teacher every day. And in the future, when it is my turn

to teach, I can also ask my students, who is the great teacher for them?

WEEK 2

The following week our lesson is all about embedding action research, it is a method

that enables teachers to examine their own classrooms, schools, and educational

environments in order to better understand them and increase their effectiveness and

quality. Action research is based on the reality of the classroom, school, and teachers

and students.

As a future teacher, it is important to apply all the things to remember when I am in the

teaching field. One way to systematically examine these practices is through Action

Research, and when the time comes and I am handling my students, I should know

what things need improvement or what problems I should resolve. Me as a teacher is

encouraged to reflect on my teaching methods, learn more about my classroom

practices, and expand my pedagogical repertoire through action research. Additionally,

conducting my Action Research will benefit others by allowing them to learn from my

ideas, which will help them and make their work easier.

WEEK 3

Action research prioritizes contemplation and closes the gap between theory and

practice, making it particularly well-liked among educators as a method of systematic

inquiry. It is also frequently referred to as a cycle of action or a cycle of inquiry

according to the nature of the investigation. Along with what I’ve learned during our

week 3, are the key components of action research this involves discovering concerns

or problems, by gathering and analyzing data, acting on the findings, and constantly

reflecting while adapting the process. And lastly the primary purpose of action research

is to determine ways and means to improve the lives of students in an educational

setting (Mills, 2011).

By adopting action research into my teaching career, I will be able to continuously

improve my teaching practices and students' learning. And it will assist me in improving

communication between me, the teacher and my students. Action research provides me

with a clear perspective of the problematic situation, which aids in the identification of

potential solutions. In action research, one must consider the subject from various

perspectives. Because good action research can alter the way teachers teach and

schools operate.

WEEK 4

I discovered the matching problematic learning situation with probable action in week 4,

we should always begin by observing not only our pupils, but also our classroom. And

by identifying the problem we will have difficulties with both our teaching and the pupils'

learning. As far as I remember the common identified problem in a normal classroom is

the ventilation, how will ventilation affect our students? If the ventilation in school

classrooms is inadequate, students are in danger of receiving poor grades. And what

will be the probable action as a solution, we as their teacher should always have a

solution. In that problem we can open the doors, windows and vents, so we may

increase our natural ventilation. Ventilation is just one example of identified problems

that they discussed last week, there are also attention of the students, lack of

motivation, difficulty in reading and many more.

I can use what I've learned when I'm currently teaching. In what way? In applying the

matching problematic learning situation. In that way I can easily identify now the

problems that I can encounter in my journey, I can probably come up with an instant

reaction because I already know how I can do it. And that is one of the benefits of

learning about combining problematic learning situations with possible actions.

WEEK 5

We studied preparing the learning environment for the fifth week, and by learning environment,

we mean the physical and psychological demands of our learners. Given that it is one of the

techniques of learning where students are given freedom in how, what, and where they learn, a

learning environment should be flexible. The second is openness since it makes the learning

process more evident and welcoming of criticism and fresh perspectives. Third, it should have

access to resources, which can assist students in performing thorough research and

establishing and developing critical thinking skills. Fourth, providing students with a physical

environment that is not distracting from their focus but rather encourages their involvement in

learning, naturally increases their participation and engagement in the classroom. And lastly, the

psychological climate: students who feel supported and engaged will be more focused in class,

will connect better with their teachers and classmates, and will achieve better academic

outcomes. These are the things that teachers should always remember when preparing our

learning environment for our students.

By using these characteristics of learning environments, I can apply them in my own physical

classroom for my future students. The learning environment for my students should meet their

needs when it comes to their physical and psychological well-being. For my students to be

engaged in class, I, as their teacher, can create a sense of order. For example, by giving a task

like telling them to pack away their things after they use them or throwing trash in the trash bin,

these are just small things to my students, but they can be responsible on their own by doing

these tasks.

WEEK 6

Enhancing a face-to-face learning environment. When students and teachers are physically

present in the same classroom, it fosters a concentrated learning atmosphere. Deeper

attention is made possible by the classroom's protective environment against outside

distractions. Teachers' and students' real-world examples and ideas help students get a

deeper knowledge of the material. Regular class sessions and an organized timetable help

to foster discipline, which facilitates finishing assignments. In addition to giving students

access to appropriate knowledge, interactions with teachers and other students provide

chances for socializing, interacting with one another, and cooperative problem-solving.

Thus, the conventional classroom setting is a useful learning environment where

information is shared in a lively and personal style, providing a convenient and efficient

means of learning.

As an aspiring educator, my goal is to provide a distraction-free, focused learning

environment in the classroom. By using real-world scenarios and well-organized timetables,

I hope to assist students develop a thorough comprehension of the subject matter and

encourage self-discipline and effective completion of homework. In addition, I appreciate the

value of conventional teaching approaches since they effectively foster efficient and

interesting learning environments. I also understand the necessity of social connection and

cooperation in the classroom.

WEEK 7

Making online or virtual learning environment safe and conducive, there has been a noticeable

trend in education toward more flexible, technologically advanced learning environments. With

the help of meaningful furniture, audio-visual aids, and linked gadgets, this contemporary

learning environment allows students to interact with the material in a variety of ways. But in the

context of virtual or online learning, when physical space boundaries become more-hazy, it's

imperative to keep safety front and center. This entails encouraging parental engagement,

making sure that lesson plans are dynamic and interesting, encouraging public outreach, and

stressing safe practices like unique passwords and appropriate log-in/log-out protocols.

Protecting the online learning environment is critical in this digital age, when the teacher's

position as a technological mediator is essential.

In order to adapt to the changing educational landscape, being a future educators can use

technology to create interactive lesson plans, emphasize safety by teaching online security

practices, encourage parental involvement, facilitate public communication, and act as a

technology intermediary for students. Involve parents in their child's education and make sure

your virtual classroom is safe with unique passwords and appropriate log-in/log-out processes.

Organize dynamic and captivating learning opportunities, promote public outreach, and pursue

professional development to keep current with emerging technology in education and internet

safety. It is essential for you to embrace the advantages of technology-integrated, flexible

learning environments while also protecting the online learning experience as a teacher in this

digital age.

WEEK 8

Establishing my own classroom routines and procedures in a face to face / remote learning. It is

clear that a well-organized and effective learning environment in the classroom depends on the

establishment and maintenance of routines. In addition to saving instructors time and facilitating

more efficient instruction, these routines provide students the confidence to take charge of their

own education. Routines are essential for success in both in-person and virtual learning

environments. Including students in the process and encouraging their active involvement in

creating these routines is crucial, especially when it comes to remote learning where it's critical

to minimize distractions and guarantee smooth immersion. From turning in assignments to

switching between activities, routines include a broad range of duties, and their thoughtful

execution prepares students and instructors for a fulfilling and successful academic year.

As a future teacher, it's imperative to recognize the significance of establishing well-structured

classroom routines and procedures, whether in a face-to-face or remote learning setting. These

routines not only save valuable instructional time but also empower students to become more

independent learners. In both environments, involving students in the development of these

routines is key, particularly in remote learning, to minimize distractions and ensure a seamless

educational experience. These routines encompass various tasks, from submitting assignments

to transitioning between activities, and their thoughtful implementation is essential to prepare

both students and instructors for a successful academic year, fostering an organized and

productive learning atmosphere.
