Airline Selection
There have been recent press reports of a Tanzanian Regional Operator, Precision Air,
that suffered the loss of one of its ATR 42 aircraft, which crashed into Lake Victoria on its
final approach into Bukoba airport.

The causal factors of this crash are still unknown and until such time that we are
confident that these have been established and adequately addressed, we are
placing an embargo on Helios personnel being booked with Precision Air for business
travel.

Precision Air, and Tanzania are not listed on EU Air Safety List, which restricts certain
airlines from entering European airspace. It should be noted that of our operating
markets, all airlines that have been approved by the Airworthiness Authorities of Congo
B and DRC are on this list. These include:

The use of these airlines for business travel may only be considered by exception and
with the written approval of the respective OpCo MD when all other viable options are
unavailable, including the use of an EU approved airline, road or rail transport.
