Radical Red Level Caps

This hack limits at which rate your Pokémon can Level Up depending
on the point of the game you’re at. This was made so you cannot
overlevel the opponents’ Pokémon and get free wins all the time as a
consequence of grinding for a long time.

As you progress through the hack, you’ll be able to Level-Up your

Pokémon to higher levels. To avoid spoilers, only the levels and
required milestones will be shown in the following list. Keep in mind
that the first few Level Caps are different in Hardcore Mode, and that
each Level Cap is three levels higher in Easy Mode.

Level Caps:

● Start of the game: Lv. 15 (In Hardcore Mode, Lv. 16)

● After obtaining the first Gym Badge: Lv. 22 (In Hardcore Mode,
Lv. 23)
- After defeating a certain right arm: Lv. 27 (In Hardcore
Mode, Lv. 28)

● After obtaining the second Gym Badge: Lv. 34 (In Hardcore

Mode, Lv. 36)

● After obtaining the third Gym Badge: Lv. 44

● After obtaining the fourth Gym Badge: Lv. 47

- After defeating a certain boss: Lv. 56
- After defeating a certain duo with your rival: Lv. 57
- After defeating a certain boss again: Lv. 59

● After obtaining the fifth Gym Badge: Lv. 68

● After obtaining the sixth Gym Badge: Lv. 73

- After defeating a certain new rival: Lv. 76

● After obtaining the seventh Gym Badge: Lv. 79

- After defeating a certain duo again: Lv. 80
- After defeating a certain boss one last time: Lv. 81

● After obtaining the last Gym Badge: Lv. 82

- After defeating one of your rivals one last time: Lv. 85
● After defeating the Pokémon League Champion: Lv. 100

Tips & Tricks For Normal Mode Boss Battles

Part of the reason why Radical Red is widely known is because of how
daunting some boss battles can be. If you’re struggling to beat those,
we can only recommend to have a look at this document. It will only
show general tips to beat each boss, there are no specific Pokémon
recommendations.

find the locations of all Pokémon of the corresponding type depending

have missed.

Useful Secret Codes

In Radical Red, there are two places in which you can input secret
codes that would enhance a playthrough of the game. Keep in mind
that they’re all case-sensitive and can only be inputted once per save
file:

● The Player’s room in Pallet Town, by interacting with the game

console connected to the TV.

There are four codes you can input in this NES console. They will
considerably ease grinding and may let you experience a better
experience if you had any issues with grinding, or money and
item farming.

NES Secret Codes:

- Woyaopp
Enables infinite Rare Candies for easy Level-Ups + Pomeg
Berries for easy Happiness points. To obtain those, talk to
the Youngster in the Viridian City grass patches near the
Pokémon Center.

- SO2Toxic

Enables care packages, very useful when replaying the

game. You’ll get free items for almost everything you’re
allowed to receive/farm/thief up to that point by walking
on certain tiles, including Raid Dens. Once the code is
enabled, the packages cannot be avoided.
While this is not the intended way of playing this hack, they
are gigantic time savers if you’re doing a challenge run,
such as a Monotype run or a Nuzlocke.

- DexAll

Allows your Dexnav to show all possible Pokémon in the

route you are in, even when you haven’t registered them in
your Pokédex by seeing them.

- TeamPreview

Allows you to see the entire opposing Pokémon team at all

times during a battle, rather than only the ones that have
been revealed by the opponent so far.

- EZCatch

With this cheat activated, every Pokéball will have a 100%

chance to catch any Pokémon.

● From the red Nurse, present in every Pokémon Center, by

talking to her and selecting the “Mystery Gift” option.
There are many codes you can input with this option. However,
they all require you to have beaten the hack at least once. Those
codes allow you to receive certain Pokémon, or to automatically
complete certain tasks earlier than intended.

Mystery Gift Codes:

Some codes require you to have beaten the Pokémon League.

They give you Legendary Pokémon that would be unobtainable
in normal gameplay and are shared each month on the Radical
Red Discord Server. For a list of them, check the Pokémon
Locations & Raid Dens spreadsheet (located in the Google Drive
shown earlier), and look for the Mystery Gifts tab.

The following codes will require you to have the New Game Plus
mode enabled.
To do so, you’ll have to start a New Game from the title screen
while having at least one Hall Of Fame entry in your previous
save data. New Game Plus will not be enabled in a new save file
if you have it enabled in your previous save data but haven’t
entered the Hall Of Fame once.

- Seviian

Gives you one of each of those Pokémon’s Sevii forms at

Lv. 5: Doduo, Mantyke, Teddiursa, Feebas, Carnivine, Blitzle,
Clauncher, Noibat, Dhelmise, Wishiwashi, Sizzlipede,
Nymble

- Random6

Gives you six random pre-evolved Pokémon (an

exception/mistake was made for Metapod and Kakuna) to
build a team with. You cannot roll duplicates, except if you
get the regional form of a Pokémon you already rolled.
- Puzzle

Automatically completes the Puzzle Battles in Viridian City’s

School (Pokévial) and Cerulean City (Move Relearner).

- Mega

You need to obtain the first three badges in order to be

able to receive rewards.
Gives one of each Mega Stone, along with the power of
Mega Evolving your Pokémon before even obtaining the
Mega Ring.
