खेल क्या है ?

"खेल कुछ ऐसा है जो अपने ललए ककया जाता


है ….It is done for its own sake.

यह स्िैच्छछक/ voluntary है , यह सुखद है , यह


जुडाि की भािना प्रदान करता है , यह आपको
समय से बाहर कर देता है । और कायय ही पररणाम/
outcome से अधिक महत्िपण ू य है ।"
खेलना किजूलखर्ची नहीीं है ।
"असली काम" हो जाने के बाद यह कुछ करना नहीीं है । खेल बर्चपन का असली काम है ।
इसके माध्यम से, बछर्चों के पास सींपण
ू ,य सख
ु ी ियस्क बनने का सिोत्तम अिसर होता है ।

क्यों जरूरी है ?

खेल बर्चपन में इष्टतम विकास के ललए


प्राथलमक िाहन है।

Allow freedom of expression


No particular boundaries or restrictions
Flexible and moveable
Often contain a tactile or kinesthetic element
No special skill required
No failure
Example – Imaginative, Pretend play, Unstructured drama,
finger painting, clay etc.

FUNCTIONAL & CONTAINED

Allow to experience a sense of containment and


challenge

Demand attention to detail

Often have an end product or result

Need to think, plan, create

Example – Construction with blocks, puzzles etc.

Provide opportunity for simple, repetitive or stereotypical


interaction

Provides sense of stability and predictability

Already well known to the child

Can be continually replayed

Example – Indigenous games, playing on the swings,
