REFLECTION

The activity was quite inspiring. It made me think about the hurdles, the hardships, and
the challenges that people go through in the course of their lives, and to what ends are
made to overcome it. Particularly, the lines that struck me the most were along these
lines, "when things go wrong, as they sometimes will, when your weakness drains you
down, some of which may kill". I think that these lines deliver simple words yet an
extremely powerful message to those who hear it. The poem that we made was
centered on the notion of not quitting or giving up amidst the challenges and hardships
that people go through. It is all about perseverance, tenacity, determination, and
willpower to not give up, especially on times when things go wrong. It is about rekindling
self-confidence and believing in our abilities to achieve the goals that we have despite
the struggles and hurdles. To put simply, it means do not quit. The activity was a
collaborative effort where everyone made a contribution to put up words together that
delivers inspiring and reflective meaning. I have learned that life is a quest. Like any
quest, it is a natural thing to encounter obstacles and certain levels of difficulties. I know
for myself that at some point in our lives, we are bound to fail. However, the essence of
living lies in the determination to never stop and keep pursuing things. Hardships are
not easy and may be painful, but often do they have silver linings. In the end, as a
person, the challenges we face will only makes us stronger and help us become a
better version of ourselves.

For me, I have always been a fighter. I would say that the poem is a reflection of what I
am and what I do. Simply put, when I am faced with hurdles and difficult challenges,
while others spend time constantly worrying and not taking actions to deal with the
problem, I am working on finding solutions and means to address the problem. Even at
my lowest point, I am in constant drive to persevere and keep up a positive outlook on
life. Life is worthwhile if we try.
