and well mentioned area & bring in use with proper pressure gauge & safety devices
k) Use scrap bin for scrap dumping
l) Submit workmen list who will work at site. G. B. Engineers
m) Gas cylinder will be carried one site to another site by trolley (Bulk LPG and O2 P. Mandal
cylinder not carry together) (Mob- 8603401650)
n) Certified welder / electrician / rigger to be provided with copies of certificate of
Electrician / welder / rigger will be submitted before starting the job. S.K Paul
o) Tools & tackles certificate to be submitted before starting the job. (Mob- 7209336162)
p) Medical fitness certificate of all workmen for height work to be submitted before
starting the job.
q) Do not work in such places where another work is going in different level and
do not work in barricaded area of another agency.
r) Six direction hazard form to be filled up daily basis.
s) All Elect. equipt / lighting system should be kept in off position when not in use.

Note : 1.This Safe Work procedure shall be prepared by owner department countersigned by Working agency / contractor’s representative and safety department.
2. Sequence of work shall involve step-by-step jobs. 3. All possible hazards including proximity hazards shall be identified
4. With the change of working conditions, the procedure shall be amended and persons shall be trained accordingly.
5. Review on status of implementation shall be done through task observation (Ref. Form # EHSMSM/WORKS/446/4008) and / or site severity audit
6. Before start of the job, induction shall be given to persons engaged at site by departmental and subsequent daily induction shall be given by Working agency /Contractor's representative

2) Fixing of light set. Falling from height ● Ensure that power is off before taking new connection.
● Use proper plug to connect the light fittings TSL

must be tied or held by one person while working.
● Use all PPE for gas cutting and welding jobs. Use both the cables Mr. S.F Hussain

● The fitting should be held by proper support like rope.
● Standard scaffolding / platform to be provided.

3) Area Lighting Elect. Shock hazards. ● Cable joint with proper insulation with junction box to be SS/ENG-13
maintained at area lighting.
Fall from height ● GI wire anchoring not be allowed for cable fixing. G. B. Engineers OK
● FBH safety belt to be use at height work. P. Mandal

4) Cable laying on the Falling from height ● Use proper surface for lifting the cable drum on the jack. S.K Paul SS/ELECT - 01

7) Cable Diversion * Electric Shock * Absence of power to be ensured from source end with suitable power

* Power cutting and positive isolation of feeder should be done if reqrd. SS/ENG - 01
* Falling from height * Do not step or put tension on nearby cables.
* if working at open height place must use safety belt(1.8m length with
double lanyard) G. B. Engineers
* Physical injury * Fall arrester must be used while climbing at height. P. Mandal

* Horizontal & vertical lifelines must be provided.
