Dear Admissions Committee,

It is an honor for me to write a recommendation letter for Leyla Neymat, one of my brilliant
students. During the last two semesters, I have been instructing Leyla during Calculus 1 and
Calculus 2 courses. Other than having high exam and quiz results, she also showed her
knowledge by explaining distinct topics like “Lines and Line Segments in Space”, and “Inverse
Trigonometric Functions” on Flipgrid, solving hard problems about proving the limits of
trigonometric equations and finding conditional extrema using the constraints of functions, and
showing her understanding of graphs and curves on a platform called Geogebra. During the
lectures and seminars, she showed a high understanding of topics and passed Calculus 1 with a
grade of 101.6/100 and Calculus 2 with a grade of 95.8/100 including bonuses.

I should also note that Leyla has a mathematical background from her high school years. She
showed her mathematical knowledge and skills in 9th grade in a governmental exam where she
scored 24/25 in the math section. At the end of her high school education, she passed the second
governmental exam with a 100/100 score in mathematics. Now, in the university, she uses her
critical thinking and experience in mathematical topics to get excellent grades which helped her
get into the Rector’s and Dean’s distinction list in Fall 2022 and Spring 2023, respectively. Also.
the previous experiences that gave her fundamental knowledge of mathematics helped her keep
her cumulative GPA of 3.89/4.

In addition to her academic performance, she also applies her knowledge in competitions such as
the Pasha Hackathon 3.0. There her team was one of the finalists who provided the solution for
Umico and afterward, her team got a teamwork offer from the Umico technical team. In general,
Leyla is a responsible student who always does her assignments by the deadlines and shows high
performance in exams. She is eager to learn and improve her mathematical skills, which she
proved by attending my and other mathematical professors’ office hours throughout the
semesters I have been her instructor. Observing Leyla’s critical thinking and passion for
mathematical knowledge, I believe that she has a bright future with big successes awaiting her in
the fields of Computer science, Software Engineering, and Cybersecurity.
