Guião trabalho de inglês

Slide 1- Good morning everyone, today we're going to present our group work,
where we develop skills such as:
 analysing texts;
 selecting relevant information;
 organising information.
Slide 2- Our work will cover the following contents:
 the first one is, “What is CSR?”;
 then we’re going to show you a ranking of portuguese companies most
committed to corporate social responsibility;
 in this work we chose to analyse the company Galp Energies, so we are
going to talk about the company;
 after that, we will mention the strategies to achieve carbon neutrality by
2050;
 the ambitions for 2030;
 and the prospects for the energy sector's future;
 then we will check if you've been listening to our presentation with a
short kahoot, and of course the winner will receive a reward;
 and, at the end of the work, we also have the bibliographical references,
which consist of all the links to all the websites that have helped us to
carry out this work.
Slide 3- Answering the question "What is CSR?", Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR) is a set of initiatives and practices that demonstrate the company's
commitment to ethical, transparent behaviour and focus on the development of
the community around its business. It allows companies to be aware of their
impact on the world and society, including thinking about how they affect the
economy, the environment and social interactions and equality.
Slide 4- In this table we have the ranking of Portuguese companies most
committed to corporate social responsibility. By analysing this table, we can see
that Galp is in the top 10 Portuguese companies that are most committed to
social responsibility.
Slide 5- Thanks to Galp's excellent performance over time, we decided to study
our work further.
As a result of various enquiries, we discovered that in 2012, Galp joined the Dow
Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the first time. With this entry, Galp became
part of a group of outstanding companies that are still recognized for their
sustainability policies both in Europe and worldwide.
Galp is focused on becoming a dynamic and digitally customer-oriented
company, with a material position in renewable and new energies, and with
industrial operations being progressively carbonised and transformed into a
green energy hub.
Slide 6- Galp is committed to leadership in the energy transition and to creating
long-term, low-carbon values. With the ambition of achieving carbon neutrality
by 2050 (having started in 2017), it has set itself three emission reduction
targets, focused on the gradual decarbonisation of its industrial operations, the
energy it produces and the energy it sells to its customers.
The three emission reduction targets are:
 Growth focused on the Upstream;
 Growth and integration of renewable energies;
 Industrial and comercial transformation.
Slide 7- Galp has acted in accordance with the objectives of sustainable
development.
Galp's strategy includes the following sustainable development objectives:
SDO 3; 6; 7; 9; 11; 12; 13; 14; 15; 17.

Slide 8- Galp's ambitions for 2030 are:
 Protect biodiversity;
 Efficient and sustainable water management;
 Operational excellence transition to circularity;
 Define and implement a circular economy approach;
 Implement 10 new projects, 7 of which will avoid deforestation and 3 of
which will require compensation measures.
Slide 9- Although the future of the energy sector remains uncertain, Galp's
strategy is based on its long-term vision and on a set of cross-company
assumptions that guide the sector's prospects towards a greener future, namely:
 Growing social and regulatory concerns about energy security,
accessibility and sustainability;
 Peak demand for oil and gas across Europe, albeit at different points in
time, which is still expected to play a key role in the coming years to
support the transition process and guarantee energy security;
 Global electrification, where renewable energies will be essential in
energy production, translating into strong growth in solar and wind farms
on the Iberian Peninsula and globally;
 Adoption of electric vehicles and decentralised generation, triggering new
value chains such as batteries;
 Greater appetite for hydrogen technologies and other low-carbon fuels,
which are seen as key to responding to sectors that are difficult to
decarbonise.
Slide 10- Now it's time to test how attentive you were during our presentation…
