For 2024 Prelims, Keep in mind:

- You need to remember the facts and information that you study. If this year’s pattern
continues in next year’s, then recalling exact details might be needed to answer
questions.
- I am sure, many of you might be thinking that elimination tricks has been eliminated
by UPSC. But this is not True. And this you will see for yourself in this PDF.

- Being calm and being ready to deal with any type of question are two essential
qualities needed to clear prelims with flying colors.

The following points should be noted before we move ahead:

1. Most of our tricks made statements of question either correct or incorrect. So, the
changed pattern of option setting does not matter much. The only thing was that you
needed to find whether all the statements of the given question were correct or incorrect.
Just for recap, we already know about positive and negative rules.

Significance of Comprehension Section in CSAT Paper:

1. With the right approach, you can get more than 55+ Marks from the comprehension
section alone.
2. Require less effort than other sections. Other section such as quantitative aptitude
requires learning a large number of topics.
3. The rising difficulty level of other sections such as quantitative aptitude makes the

Meaning of Inference: An inference is a conclusion that you draw about something by
using the information provided in the passage. It means your conclusion (opinion) is based on
facts/figures/examples/ evidence given in the passage. No guesswork is involved.
Example: When you see a sad person; you infer he must be having some problem. you
inferred it using your observation by seeing his gloomy face. However, if you think that he is
sad because of some financial issue or relationship issue then this is (your) assumption.

Inference statements 1 & 2 both are incorrect

because of their extremeness. The word
