Heinrich Himmler

Heinrich Luitpold Himmler, born on October 7th 1900 in Berlin

and died on 23 may 1945, was one of the highest dignitaries of
the Third Reich.

Early Life
Himmler was born in a catholic upper class familay
and joined a military school at the age of 15. During
WWI, he enlists with a reserve battalion but
doesn’t fight on the front. Then, between 1919 and
1922, he studies agriculture and works at a low

Rise to Power
In 1923, Himmler joins the Nazi party, which
aligns with his antisemetic and occult
ideologies then two years later, he joins the SS.
In the SS, he will know a prominent rise: from
1926 to 1927, Himmler is a SS-Gauführer, a
district leader afterwards, Himmler took the
position of Reichsführer-SS,chief of the SS in
1929. In 1943, he is named Minister of the
Interior of Nazi Germany by Hitler and in 1944,
he became briefly Oberkommando des Heeres
(chief of the Wehrmacht land army).

Himmler is known for having occult and
mystical believes. He even went on to fund
expeditions in search of mystical aryan objects
and founding an institute called the Ahnenerbe.
Schutzstaffel
In the SS, Himmler has had the most important of roles.
For example, the SS organized most of the killing during
the Night of the Long Knives in 1934,under the orders of
Himmler. Under Himmler, the Schutzstaffel became a
symbol of terror, not only for managing the concentration
camps since 1933 but also because responsible for mass
murder, primarily by shooting, during World War IIin
German-occupied Europe. Himmler ,as Reichsfuhrer-SS,
being on top of this organisation, had a key role in the
Holocaust and Nazi Party.
 Family/Love life

Himmler married Margarete Siegroth in 1928

and with her he will have an only daughter :
Gudrun Himmler, born in 1929. Even though
Himmler promoted an ideal Aryan family, he is
known for having a mistress, Hedwig Potthast,
his secratary with whom he will have a daughter
in 1944 and a son in 1942. There is also rumors
of which Himmler had an affair with Aldi
Malfredi, a finnish women turnt italian
baroness.

The “Final Solution”

It is widely known that Heinrich Himmler
played an active and important role in the
Final Solution as the Reichsführer-SS and
Chief of the German Police. During the
Wannsee Conference on January 1942,even
though he didn’t personally attend, he and
the SS laid out many logistic and
bureaucratic ideas for the Final Solution.

End of his Career/Life

In April 1945, just before the end

of the war, Himmler tried to
negotiate with Allies, betraying
Adolf Hitler. Hitler , later on
dismissed Himmler from the
Nazi Party Shortly after, he is
captured by British forces on
May 1945. He then comitted
suicied by cyanide.
