So, 5 pint over 24 hours
1 pint = 24/5 = 4 hours 48 minutes
09.00 am = 1st pint RL
01.48 pm = 2nd pint NS
06.36 pm = 3rd pint RL
11.24 pm = 4th pint NS
04.12 am = 5th pint RL
09.00 am = disconnect

2. Drop /minute = No of pint X 500 X drop factor

No of hours X 60
= 5 x 500 x 20
24 x 60
= 34 – 35 drops/minute

drug dosage.

1. Order: 3 pint RL and 2 Pint NS over 24 hours

 Calculate the hours per pint
 Specify the starting time and ending time of each pint and
 Calculate the drop per minute for the same.
