Application for the position : Supply Chain Planning Intern

Dear recruitment team,

I am a bachelor's student at Saxion University of Applied Science, who majored in International Business. At
Saxion, I focused on Supply Chain and Logistics Management while also exploring courses in Procurement & Data
Analysis. I finished my last internship on the topic of operations improvement with a final grade of 9.0 so I am
now looking for an internship for my final study phase.

I had two years of experience working as an intern (part-time and full-time) in companies in the Netherlands.
During that time, I had opportunities to learn and apply Supply Chain Management, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and
Procurement, and Logistics theory in different fields such as FMCGs, Textile Manufacturing, and Diagnostic Test
Manufacturing.

During my time working for West Coast Supply Group – FMCG company, I assisted the purchasing process from
suppliers to the company’s warehouse. I created a report that documented all the bottlenecks of the process as
well as proposed improvements at the end of my internship. This report includes key metrics such as data
analysis, process improvements (reducing waste), and project management. I also worked closely with the
purchasing team on SOP documentations and daily financial flows between external and internal parties. Another
interesting project I was responsible for was to calculate the carbon footprint and conduct a comprehensive Life
Cycle Assessment for Vadain and the company’s suppliers. I also had a chance to cooperate with the company’s
purchasing managers to collect the data and deploy the dashboard that can yield the result of the total carbon
footprint in a specific year.

Currently, I am working as a customer master data intern at IDEXX B.V. which develops, manufactures, and
distributes products primarily for the companion veterinary, livestock, dairy, and water testing markets
worldwide. In this role, I had a chance to work on a Transportation Zone project which contributes value to the
team in assigning the right carriers to the right customers. On the other hand, in my free time, I often devote
myself to the online learning environment, where I continuously learn and expand my knowledge in Excel, Power
BI, SQL, and Dutch language courses. I always believe that the best way to fully understand a task is to experience
and test the learned theory. Some of my learning knowledge has got quite positive responses from the last
internships which I wish to continue developing and applying if I have a chance to work in your company.
