PRIVATE SECTOR

SETTING
The area of the economy that is not under state control and is conducted for profit
by people and businesses is known as the private sector. All for-profit companies
that are not owned or run by the government are therefore included. The voluntary
sector includes charities and other nonprofit groups, whereas the public sector
includes businesses and corporations that are governed by the government.

CIVIL SOCIETY SETTING

The family and the private sphere are included in what is known as the "third
sector" of society, which is distinct from the government and business. In the
writings of other authors, the term "civil society" refers to the collection of
institutions and non-governmental groups that serve the needs and aspirations of
people in a society while remaining impartial to the governing body.

COMMUNITY SETTING
A community environment is any place that is not an inpatient hospital room, an
acute care facility, or a hospital clinic. A house, group home, assisted living
facility, jail, hospice, or long-term care institution are just a few examples of a
communal environment.

SCHOOL SETTING
Schools are educational and social institutions. Their participation in communication
is to deliver educational goods to the public and engage communities in agenda
setting regarding educational goals and means. Communication in school setting tends
to be very formal and academic.

GOVERNMENT SETTING
The government interacts with its constituents and, in particular, provides social
and public services that promote tranquility and order. This being the fundamental
nature of government, public to government and public to government
communication becomes more important. The purpose of government
communication is to enlighten the populace about policies, opportunities, security
threats, and other relevant information. According to the topic and purpose, the
government uses a number of communication techniques and instruments.
