better, company regulations or collective bargaining? give your reason
and example.

3. Why should companies concern on Occupational Safety and Health

(OHS), while they should spend a lot of money for this issues? Explain
with example.

4. What steps must be taken by HR managers to create a positive

climate for diversity? Explain

ANSWER:
1. in my opinion, performance-based pay is better than seniority-based
pay. Paying employees based on their performance motivates them
to work harder and achieve better results. For example, if a company
pays employees based on seniority, employees who have been
working in the company for a long time may not be motivated to
work hard because they know that they will get the same salary
regardless of their performance.
2. collective bargaining is generally considered better for the workers’
side than company regulations. Collective bargaining allows
workers to negotiate with their employers on issues such as wages,
working conditions, and benefits. On the other hand, company
regulations are set by the employer and may not always be in the
best interest of the workers. For example, if a company sets a policy
that requires workers to work overtime without additional pay,
workers may not have any recourse to challenge this policy if they
are not part of a union. In contrast, if workers are part of a union,
they can negotiate with the employer to ensure that they are fairly
compensated for their work.

3. Companies should be concerned about Occupational Safety and

Health (OSH) because it can have a significant impact on their
employees’ well-being, productivity, and financial performance. By
prioritizing OSH,companies can reduce the risk of accidents or
injuries by identifying and mitigating hazards, improve efficiency
and productivity due to fewer employees missing work from illness
or injury, and improve employee relations and morale. For example,
a company that prioritizes OSH may implement safety protocols
such as maintaining a clean and organized workspace, using
personal protective equipment (PPE), practicing good ergonomics,
implementing regular breaks and stretching, adhering to proper
chemical handling procedures, prioritizing fire safety and
prevention, and encouraging reporting of hazards and near misses.

4. To create a positive climate for diversity, HR managers can take

several steps such as:
-Understand diversity: HR managers should understand the
importance of diversity and appreciate the value of different
perspectives.
-Create a safe environment: HR managers should create a safe
environment where individuals can be themselves.
-Show appreciation: HR managers should show appreciation for
contributions made by individuals from diverse backgrounds.
-Reassess employee policies: HR managers should reassess employee
policies to ensure that they are inclusive and do not discriminate
against any group.

practices affect everyone and make changes if necessary.
