Dear Jane,

Thanks for your letter. I’m sorry I haven’t been writing for such a long time as I
have been busy with my Independent Testing. How are you getting on? Do you
have any plans for holiday? What about me, I’m still thinking about it.
I’m writing to you as your letter about your history classes is interested me. In my
point of view, knowing history of the country where you live is very important.
Firstly, we need history to understand the origins of the present. Anyway,
expending our horizons is never too much.
By the way, it was recently when a new history teacher appeared in our school.
He is the most marvellous teacher I’ve ever seen. He turns every lesson into a
game and tells us funny stories from his life. Besides, we had a very boring
teacher before it, fortunately he decided to leave our class.
However, my favourite school subject is literature. I always like to read different
books especially by William Shakespeare. Moreover, one of my hobbies is writing
poems by myself. If I became a writer, I would have enough money to buy my
own library.
Well, I must finish now – I have to prepare for my exams. Hope to hearing from
you soon. Tell my regards to your parents. Keep in touch!
Best wishes,
Emma
