TRADITION
The Camp’s split-level tented dining room is named in
honor of the famous Danish spice trader, entrepreneur
and peace maker of Bali, Mads Johansen Lange,
nicknamed “The White King of Bali”.

Our sustainability commitment reflects in our respect


for the environment and the food we fuel our bodies.
The culinary maestros at Mads Lange use an incredible
array of hand-harvested vegetables, spices, herbs &
poultry from our neighbouring farms along with the
freshest seafood available from our regional waters.

A fair trade approach has been established to collect


free-range chicken and duck eggs from North Bali, the
best catch of the day and crisp, fresh greens for your
salad from Bedugul. We also support our community
farmers by providing organic food for their livestock
and supplying cooking oils to be recycled as biodiesel
for local school buses.

Local farmers from Payangan village produce Balinese


heritage rice that you can order from our menu.
Regenerative rice farming uses only natural fertilisers,
weeds and pest control to produce healthy rice.
