Quality product at a great price
So, this is a weird review.
One of the pawls on my hub broke, I
discovered this while doing pre ride
season maintenance. The problem
was (still is) I couldn't figure out
what hub is on my bike! I even
posted asking for help to identify it.
Nothing. With no help I started
searching for pawl kits. Hayes
popped up and I thought these
pawls looked just like the ones I
have. Do I have SRC\SRX Hubs? Of
course not! So I ordered them
anyway The kit arrived and it was
clear they are not exactly the same,
but they are pretty close. I didn't
want to send it back so I did a little
garage machining and Shazam! fits
perfectly and sounds good. The
Hayes pawls are obviously high
quality compared to what came
standard on my bike. You can tell
just by looking at them, great
machining and a robust looking
design. The pawl kit from Hayes
seriously has me looking at the rest
of their gear for future upgrades
down the road. I'm happy with the
kit and recommend it, just make
sure you know what the heck you
need
