I absolutely love the look of these shoes! As a women who has
wide but long feet my shoe size can vary anywhere from 8-9.5
depending on the brand, in most cases I'm a 8.5/9 due to my
foot width so not previously owning New Balance shoes I went
with the 8.5, though I wish I had gotten the 8 as I feel they
would have fit better since the 8.5 is actually quite big. Still
pretty happy none the less!

A classic for a reason

I love the 574 as an all-purpose shoe. For me, it's the perfect
travel shoe. Comfortable enough to walk around a new city all
day, even taking on some light hiking duties. I have run at full
speed across airports to make connecting flights, and been
pleased I chose the 574 as my travelling shoe. In grey, it's also
minimal and stylish enough to pair with a a good pair of jeans
and an Oxford shirt to wear for a night out. Durable, useful,
and good looking. Get a shoe that does it all!

Great shoe; weak insole

This is my second pair. It's great that they offer it in extra wide
sizes! Overall it's quite comfortable. However, the removable
insole is very narrow. Because of this, you end up stepping on
the edge of the insole (because the insole is narrower than
your foot), so basically there is a seam right under your big
toe, which can lead to friction. After a few weeks, it becomes
less noticeable (probably as the insole flattens and stops
springing back).

Possibly the worst shoe I've ever

These shoes were comfortable and stylish. The problem is, the
fell apart in 3 months of casual use. I tried to make a warranty
claim, got bounced around for over a month, and finally they
offered me a coupon. I never received the coupon. Never
buying New Balance again
