Life of Pi

São Paulo
2017
The book was really amusing, when you start to read is difficult to stop, because
the story is so incredible and unbelieveble that you just want to know what happens
next. I had a really good time reading The life of Pi, the setting of the story is so
uncommon.
You never expect learn so much with a story about a boy that is lost in the
middle of the pacific ocean with a bengal tiger, but to see the relation of the characters
and how they need to keep each other alive to survive is beautiful. Even if the story
happened in that way just in the boy’s head, just to keep his sanity in the middle of such
suffering, we can lear a lot with the boy. We have to accept what happened in the past
and deal with it in the best way we can, even if we need to change a bit to do it.
I’ve never been in a zoo and I’ve been in a circus just when I was a child. I do
not like to go on that places because I do not agree with those practises (change the
nature of a wild animal), but the way that Pi talks about zoos in de beginning of the
book are making me rethink that.
I had seen the film based on the book a long time ago, it was a amazing
experience, the colors of the film are stunning. There are subtle diferences between the
book and the film, but both are incredible.
I definitely would like to read more books like this, since I found the language
level just right.
