The Cooper Union Retraining Program for Immigrant Engineers (RPIE)


supports engineers and those in related fields as they gain the tools,
FREE
confidence, and community they need to succeed in building the career
they want. The Program has two primary components: Technical courses TECHNICAL COURSES
in areas like structures & buildings, environmental engineering, data COMBINED WITH
science, and transportation—that help engineers keep up with the
changing field; and a Communications and Culture curriculum designed A COMMUNICATIONS
to help engineers develop and practice the English language skills they AND CULTURE
need in both their job search and professional life.

• Workshops and one-on-one support for developing job application materials
like resumes, cover letters, and portfolios
• Preparation for job interviews and establishing a professional presence online
• Practice working with digital tools for collaboration and presentations
• Professional networking opportunities
• Panel discussions with leaders in engineering and technology
• Job placement support

The free RPIE program welcomes immigrant professionals who:


• are work-authorized in the U.S.A.
• hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher with professional experience in
engineering, IT, or related fields from their country of origin OR have
equivalent work experience
• are unemployed, underemployed, or work in a field unrelated to
their education
• are comfortable participating in coursework in English
• demonstrate financial need
• live in NYC or within communiting distance
