What makes a Great Code of Conduct?

Google Code of Conduct

1. How would you describe the code of conduct of the company?

Google has set high standards for its codes of conduct and requires all of its employees to abide
by them to protect all of their employees. Google wants its employees to feel safe at work and not
feel threatened by coworkers, just like any other company in society. Google also highlights that
any employee who violates their code of conduct risks having their employment terminated.
Infractions of the company's rules of conduct should be punished by termination. Its fundamental
principles, which might include integrity itself, transparency, usefulness, respect for personal
information, responsiveness, and taking action, are attested to by the organization's integrity and
ethical standards. It goes into great detail about how to settle disagreements and what is expected
of the parties if there are conflicts of interest. It also discusses the level of professionalism that
employees should exhibit to uphold the reputation and standards of the business. The expected
behavior must be appropriate given the nature of the profession.

2. Are there ethics policies for participating in external professional, service, charitable, or academic
organizations?

Yes, there are moral requirements for involvement in outside professional, service, charitable, or
academic groups that permit Google to advertise for other businesses. Through this, they hope to
help them reach both current and potential customers and audiences. They establish moral
standards for engaging in work-related extracurricular activities, such as mandating that
advertisers follow Google's policies. One illustration of this is having a fair competition, as well
as respecting one's competitors. Being helpful and honest also includes being responsive;
responsive people typically answer all of the user's questions to help them.

3. How do you rate the company’s ethical standards compared to other companies?

In general, Google's ethical standards outperform and are safer than those of the competing
company. Google is dedicated to ensuring a safe working environment, respecting every
employee, and carrying out business practices that are moral and environmentally responsible.
Google has demonstrated to be more successful than other businesses at protecting customers'
personal information, even though other businesses can also demonstrate respect for individuals.
Google is dedicated to fostering a culture of safety at work, treating everyone with respect, and
adopting environmentally friendly business practices.
4. What is your overall perception of the code of conduct of the company?

The company explicitly states in its code of conduct, in my interpretation of it, that it wants both
its employees and users to feel at ease using and working at Google. As a high-end company,
Google has high standards for its employees because they are the ones who represent the Google
brand. Even if doing so gives a rival an edge, I respect the policy's commitment to protecting the
privacy of former employees.

5. What suggestions do you have to improve the effectiveness of the code of conduct?

I do advise the supervisors or directors of the organization to set a good example for the low-level
representatives by abiding by the established sets of organizational values so that they have the
option to work on the effectiveness of the said tactics. The company's codes of conduct must be
strictly adhered to for the threats of termination or punishment for those who break them to be
effective.
