FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE: MOTIVATION, COMMITMENT AND QUALITY

OF HUMAN RESOURCES

In the context of employee productivity, the literature highlights various factors that contribute to
overall performance within a company. According to recent studies (Adam et al., 2023), employee
performance is significantly influenced by motivation, commitment, and the quality of human
resources. Motivated employees tend to exhibit higher levels of involvement, zeal, and commitment
to their work. Similarly, committed employees feel a sense of belonging and are more likely to
dedicate time and effort to achieve shared objectives. Moreover, the competence and qualifications
of the workforce play a crucial role in a company's ability to navigate the challenges of a fast-paced
workplace. Although there is a strong foundation for understanding the broad principles affecting
employee performance in the literature currently in publication, this study aims to focus specifically
on the restaurant business in Pagsanjan, Laguna. In particular, we want to look into the relationship
that exists between workers' predicted salaries and their ensuing production levels. Examining this
particular link allows us to take into account the larger impacts of dedication, motivation, and the
caliber of human resources while adjusting our research to the particular dynamics of the
neighborhood restaurant.

EMPLOYEE SALARY AND EMPLOYEE TURNOVER INTENTION: A KEY EVALUATION CONSIDERING JOB
SATISFACTION AND JOB PERFORMANCE AS MEDIATORS

Employee salary is a key determinant that positively impacts satisfaction which in turn is positively
related to job performance (Fatima et al., 2023). A well-structured salary not only addresses financial
aspects but also serves as a symbolic recognition of an employee's skills, experience, and
contributions to the workplace. Satisfied employees are more likely to exhibit higher levels of
engagement, commitment, and discretionary effort in their roles. They are inclined to develop a
positive attitude towards their work, colleagues, and the organization as a whole, fostering a
conducive environment for improved job performance. This positive relationship between employee
satisfaction and job performance suggests that individuals anticipating a satisfactory salary in the
restaurant industry may exhibit increased productivity. Moreover, the acknowledgment of non-
financial aspects, such as symbolic recognition, implies that both financial and non-financial elements
contribute to employee satisfaction and, consequently, influence the overall workplace environment.
Therefore, in exploring the correlation between expected salary and employee productivity in the
specified context, it becomes essential to delve into how perceived adequacy of the salary impacts job
satisfaction and, subsequently, influences the productivity of restaurant employees in Pagsanjan,
Laguna.
