As shown by Walton et al. in 2020, makes organizations perform better. It's better to
work in teams because they can come up with more creative solutions to problems.
For organizations to be successful, employees need to collaborate and use their
strengths together. The previously mentioned literature, emphasized the positive
impact of teamwork on organizational performance. In the context of the restaurant
study, this underscores the potential influence of salary expectations on employee
collaboration and, consequently, overall productivity. If employees perceive their
salaries as fair and aligned with their contributions, it may enhance teamwork and
creativity, positively affecting the restaurant's performance.

According to Kotlyar & Krasman (2022), companies work hard not just for
themselves but also for their teammates, aiming not to disappoint. When led by an
experienced leader, working together as a team can be a great learning experience
at work. The existing literature gives relevance to the current study, its emphasis on
teamwork and the positive impact it has on organizational performance. The idea is
that a supportive team environment, driven by the shared goal of success, can
contribute to improved employee performance, which is central to the investigation of
the correlation between expected salary and productivity.

Companies want employees who work well with others to be competitive. Teamwork
is crucial for organizations to be efficient and successful because it brings together
different strengths to get things done (Meslec, N., Duel, J.& Soeters, J. 2020) The
literature is relevant to our study, it explores the potential correlation between
employee salaries and productivity. Understanding this relationship can offer insights
into how financial compensation may impact teamwork within the restaurant
industry, aligning with the broader context of organizational effectiveness.
