DESIGN AND BUILD OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) 2-


CLASSROOM BUILDING PROJECT BY NATIONAL GRID CORPORATION OF
THE PHILIPPINES (NGCP)

In accordance with the project specifications and approved drawings/plans (submitted


by the winning Bidder and approved by NGCP), the contractor shall furnish all the
required materials, labor, equipment/tools and incidentals and undertake the

GENERAL

The work contemplated to be done by the successful bidder under the contract shall
consist of furnishing all superintendence, labor, materials, supplies tools and
equipment and other incidentals necessary for the

accordance with the requirements of the plans and specifications.

Bidders are required to make an ocular and physical survey of the actual site to enable
them to assess the actual field conditions and requirements to offer a realistic and
equitable bid. A CERTIFICATE OF SITE INSPECTION will be issued by the
proponent, and this will serve as an integral part of the Technical Evaluation. No
Certification issued means Non-compliance.

SCOPE OF WORK

The works to be performed by the successful bidder essentially consist of engineering


services, furnish, deliver, install, dismantling, construct, supply, provide, place
including furnishing of labor, equipment, materials, submission of as-built drawings
and other incidentals of the following items, of works in accordance with the Plans and
Specifications.

The work required are generally enumerated below, but it should be noted the Contract
includes all works and services although not specifically detailed herein but are
required to fully complete the construction of the building, as specified in the Bid
Drawing.

1. General Construction Requirements in compliance with the National Building


Code of the Philippines (P.D. 1096).
2. Prepare detailed engineering drawings including calculations per site condition,
in compliance to the latest codes and standards. Detailed engineering design
that will be used as construction drawing shall be A1 size (5 sets) and, drawings
in PDF and in CAD file saved. This shall be signed and sealed by a professional
engineer per respective trade.

4. Sign all necessary documents related to design, e.g., building permit, etc.
5. Processing of Building Permit and Occupancy Permit.
6. Processing of Bonds and Insurances.
7. Provide support during the construction phase and shall be available for
consultation.
8. Prepare submittals, such as but not limited to:
a. Gantt Chart with S-Curve
b. Job Hazard Analysis Plan (JHAP)
c. Construction drawings including shop drawings (if needed)
d. Material submittals (e.g., brochure, sample board, mill certificate,
calibration certificate, etc.)
9. Conduct necessary material testing as part of QA/QC.
10. Mobilization and Demobilization.
11. Detailed Engineering Design including Structural Design Computations.
12. Temporary Facility and Construction Board-up.
13. Supply of Water and Electricity.
14. Site Development Works.
15. Excavation Works.
16. Soil Poisoning.
17. Backfilling Works.
18. Gravel bedding and Compaction (slab on grade and column footing).
19. Reinforcing Steel Works.
20. Concreting Works.
21. Structural Steel Works.
22. Roofing Works (including insulation and other accessories).
23. Masonry Works (includes plastering).
24. Ceiling Works.
25. Painting Works.
26. Installation of Doors and Windows.
27. Specialty Works and Other Furnishings.
28. Electrical Works.
29. Storm Drainage System.
30. Compliance with government Occupational health and safety requirements.
31. COVID-19 compliance as mandated government protocol.
32. Other work is necessary to complete the project.
33. Preparation and Submission of as built drawings;

SITE INSPECTION

The prospective bidder is required to conduct site inspection and secure Certificate of
Site Inspection. Non-inclusion of Certification in the bid documents shall be a ground
for non-compliance.

PROJECT DURATION

All works required shall be completed as specified in the work scope and within ONE
HUNDRED FIFTY (150) CALENDAR DAYS, including procurement of materials and
construction phase based on approved work schedule by the Owner reckoned from
contract effectivity date.

PROJECT WARRANTY

The warranty period shall be one (1) year from the project completion date as indicated
in the Certificate of Final Completion (CFC).

AS-BUILT DRAWING

The Contractor shall submit four (4) copies A3 Size, properly bind, one (1) original
reproducible copy and one (1) set recordable CDs which can be loaded and handled
on a personal computer containing copies of approved as-built plan/drawings,
Installation Manual, Operation and Maintenance Manual, and other necessary
documents mentioned in the specifications which is a prerequisite prior to issuance of
Certificate of Completion and Acceptance.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CONTRACTOR

To qualify as the bidder of the project, Contractor shall meet the following
requirements:

Shall have substantial capital, manpower, tools, and equipment to undertake


the project.
Contractor must have completed projects similar in nature and complexity to
the contract.
Contractor shall provide list of similar projects and track record.
Contractor shall submit valid Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board
(PCAB) license and registration for the type and cost of the contract for
bidding.
