II. Attempt any FIVE questions:


6. Any hydropower project, small or large, will have environmental implications. The
implications may be grouped in three categories and they are Physical, Biological and
Cultural. Describe the types of impacts to be assessed under these three categories. [6]

7. List the five procedural stages required in the EIA process in Nepal. [6]

8. In the baseline survey of the proposed project area, the gender issues should be identified.
List five information that are needed to be collected with respect to gender issues to be
addressed in any EIA. [6]

9. Corrective measures are adopted to reduce the adverse impacts to acceptable levels. List
five corrective measures which are related to physical environment in a hydropower

10. The various types of monitoring activities currently in practice each have some relevance
