Text
The word text is related to “textile” and can be
translated as “fabric”: just as single threads form a
fabric, so words and sentences form a meaningful
and coherent text.

Text can be described as a group of words that combine to


create a coherent and meaningful text. Text may be written as
books, essays, letters, or other types of publications. Text can
also refer to an oral message that is communicated through a
speech or conversation.
