HOSTEL REGULATIONS
All students living in the University Hostel should familiarise themselves with the regulations governing the hostel
accomodation and abide strictly. The following are the University Hostel offences and their corresponding sanctions:

3 Female entry in to the room of male student after 10:00pm / Expulsion
Sleeping in male room/hostel
4 Inter-changing rooms illegally Warning/reversal/ expulsion from hall
5 Trading/Selling/leasing of bed spaces Rustication for one(1) semester
6 Taking bath outside the bathroom/toilet Rustication for one(1) semester
7 Misuse of toilet facility Rustication for one(1) semester
8 Use of unauthorized electrical appliances that may cause damage Repair/replacement of facility; Rustication for two(2)
to electrical facility semesters.
9 Use of gas stoves or hot plates Seizing and rustication for one(1) semester
10 Failure to vacate room at the end of semester Immediate expulsion from hall/ Warning/ Payment of half
hostel fees for period of stay
11 Failure for clearance/Submision of keys at the end of Warning or expulsion from hall/ Restication for one(1)
semester/session semester
12 Leaving behind personal property in the room during vacation University not responsible for any loss or damage

13 Failure to lock doors during break/vacation Replacement of any damaged university property
14 Public disturbance/nuisance Warning or expulsion from hall
15 Nursing mothers/ pregnant student residing in the hostel Restication for one(1) semester

16 Bringing babies to the hostel Warning/ejection from hall

17 Failure to control one’s guests and visitors Responsible for all actions of guests/visitors;
warning/expulsion from hall
18 Keeping of pets Restication for one(1) semester
19 Defacing walls Restication for one(1) semester/ Repairs
20 Squatting Expulsion from hall/ Restication for one(1) semester
(squatter and squattee)
21 Concealing Squatter by room members Warning/Expulsion from hall
22 Absence from the University without exist University not responsible for any consequence
23 Illegal occupation of rooms /university building Ejection; Restication for one(1) semester
24 Causing damages through cooking/ washing in halls Repairs/replacement of damages property / Restication
