REFLECTION PAPER ABOUT EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION

This subject has provided a very clear knowledge about Educational Administration it is,
the higher level of authority that determines policies, identidies goals and lays down principles of
running an educational institution or project. It is also like a broad umbrella encompassing a
number of processes such as planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling and
evaluating the performance. Through a comprehensive reports of mg collegue including myself
was a big help in broadening my views and knowledge of educational administration.
One of the avenues of education is the formal education that is concretized in school. I
can say that the educational administration is very important to guide the operation of the school.
This may include the observance of the policy of the school, managing the budget and its
maintenance, evaluating the effectivity of the different forms of pedagogy that can help the
pupils in learning and to ensure that the students’ academic progress is met. It is also part of the
job of the school administration to update the parents of the pupils regarding the attitude and
academic perfomance of their childrenthat is why detailed records must be kept to show to the
parents the personal deve;opment of their child. This may also at the same time guarantee to the
parents that their children are in safety learning environment since all of the concerns of the
pupils are being brought up in the Parents and Teachers Meeting which is part of the role of the
school administration in managing communications with the parents. Moreover for the
Educational Administration to be effective, the school administrators are the one in charge of the
evaluation regarding school’s strategic decision to improve and continue in rendering a high –
quality education to the pupils. This may include forming a research team that could seek some
innovations in inculcating knowledge to the pupils. New technologies would be also a great help
in upgrading the school like keeping the records of the pupils in a more fast and easy way, or in
enhancing different means of teaching.
I believe that Eduacational Administration creates an effective learning environment to
the pupils. Having a good balnce to its functions, a school can have a firm scaffolding in giiving
the pupils a better eduation and successfully prepared them in their future career.
