Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Hello everyone and honorable judges, allowed me to introduce my self

My name is Auladina Sholehah from MA Al-Fajar Parenggean
And I would like you to tell you story about one of the Islamic prophet which is entitled “King
Sulaiman and Queen Bilqis”

Long long time ago after the death of prophet Dawud, prophet Sulaiman Alaihi Salam
became a king with blessing from Allah SWT.
He cloud command winds and he cloud understand and even talk to an animal, he ruled the
kingdom wisely.

Prophet Sulaiman AS had jinns and animal serving in his army and the prophet demanded
strict discipline among them, that’s why he was upset when one of his bird was missing.
Soon the bird called “hud-hud” come back, prophet Sulaiman said “where have you been
hud-hud?” And then the bird said “Please accept my sincere apology, but I was wondering to
give you some important news, I have found a place which you are not aware of, ruled by

Bilqis the queen of Saba who has plenty of everything, but its a shame because they are
worshipping the sun instead of Allah SWT!”
Sulaiman wanted to see if the bird was telling the truth, so he sent a letter to the queen. Hud
hud then carried the letter to queen Bilqis and dropped the letter in front of the quen. “Oh,
what is this..?”, the queen asked. And then she grab it and read the letter from the king
mentioning in the letter not to pray to the sun, but to pray to Allah SWT.

The queen was disturb and she ask her advisor what to do so they decided to send the
prophet some gifts and told the messenger to learn about the prophet army and kingdom.
When the messenger arrived they were suprised because queen Bilqis wealth was nothing
compared to prophet Sulaiman’s wealth.

The messenger gave prophet Sulaiman the gifts, they were shocked to see his reaction, he
told them “Allah has given me enough wealth and a large kingdom, even made me a
prophet, take these gifts back and tell to your queen to accept Allah SWT or else I will have
to fight against your queen and kingdom.

When they came back to Saba they gave her the message and told her about the wonderful
things they had seen.

Instead of taking offence, she decided to visit the prophet, she asked one of the messenger
to inform the prophet that she was on her way to meet him.

When Sulaiman heard that, he asked the jinns “Ifrit, can you bring the trone of Bilqis before
the queen reached?” The jinn answered, “Alright my king. I’ll do it right now… ha ha ha”

Soon when Bilqis arrived the prophet invited them in, and asked the queen if the trone was
belonged to her. She was confused for a while. But she did answer him with a “no”, king
Sulaiman then invited her to the great hall.
The floor was made from solid glass with a river and fishes beneath. The queen even lifted
her skirt because she thouhgt she had to step on water before the prophet told her. “You
don’t need to do that, just walking”, said king Sulaiman while smiling at her. She was shy but
she actually amazed, she had never seen the wonderful things before.

Since then, she realized that prophet Sulaiman is not just a great king, but also a messenger
of Allah SWT.

When she come back to Saba, she said to the people, “Oh, my people, the sun is not our
worshipping again, because it was just one of Allah’s creation. And right now I am converting
to Islam and I asked you to do the same.

And the end, this story told us to always be gratefull and not to be arrogant with everything
we have, because all of that is only entrusted and will return to the almighty Allah SWT.
