Alan Turing was born on the 23rd

of June in 1912.

He was born in London, England LONDON

 EDUCATION
Alan Turing was educated at a top private school.

He went to the University of Cambridge to study

mathematics and physics in 1931.

After graduating in 1934, he was elected to a fellowship at

King's College
 WHAT WAS HE FAMOUS FOR?

Alan Turing was famous for his work developing the first
modern computers.

Alan Turing invented the universal Turing machine, that

encapsulates the fundamental logical principles of the
digital computer.
During the Second World War, Turing worked for
the Government Code & Cypher School and was
located in Bletchley Park, Britain's codebreaking
center that produced Ultra intelligence.

Alan Turing was awarded the

Smith's Prize / Medal in 1936.
 Alan Turing's Death
In 1954, he was found dead from cyanide poisoning, 16
days before turning 42 and an inquest concluded that his
death came as a result of suicide.
There have been made statues of Alan Turing to remind
him as part of an exhibition that honours Alan Turing for
his actions.
