This is a guide meant to help players patch Skies and get to playing!

Do not ask me
or anyone else for ROMs. We only distribute patches

1. Skies uses a U.S Xeno patched ROM as the base ROM. That means to patch Skies to
a game you will need that specific ROM. I can not legally distribute ROMs, but I
can give out a patch that will convert clean copies of North American U.S Explorers
of Sky to the Xenophobe dump.

2. You will need special software to patch Skies onto your ROM. Please use this:

3. ---> IF YOU HAVE A XENO ROM ALREADY SKIP THIS STEP <---
Open up the patching software and apply the "Clean_to_xeno" patch onto your ROM
dump. Now you have a Xeno patched ROM for Skies.

4. Open your software and choose the Xeno Explorers Of Sky ROM as the base, and the
Skies Patch as the patch, choose an output destination and name, and you're all
ready to play! You'll know this will have worked if the intro sequence is changed.

OPTIONAL STEP 5. If you're updating the ROM, if you want to keep your original
save, patch the newly updated Skies patch onto ANOTHER Xeno patched ROM. Make sure
the new Skies ROM name/directory matches your old one exactly, the save should
carry over.
