====FAQ and Troubleshooting====

I try my best to help out everyone who has issues, however between college and work I
find it very had to find time to balance everyone. Listed below are some of the most common
issues I've found people had when trying to run the pack.

Please also make sure to carefully follow the included instructions before asking for help,
and check to see if any information you're looking for is present in the documentation.

Please try looking for your issue here first before requesting help, though if anything is
confusing I always try to respond to every message I get when I have time!

How do I select Alt characters???

Gamecube or Classic: Hold L or R
Nunchuk: Hold Z
Wii Remote: Hold Minus

Weird music is playing on the Character Select Screen and multiple copies of
Hanenbow and Pokemon Stadium are on the Stage Select Screen.
Not all files have copied over correctly onto the SD card. Please try recopying the pack onto the
card and make sure that the resulting folder under SD:/private/wii/app/rsbe/pf matches the file
size of the one being copied from the pack.

I'm using an SDHC card and weird music is playing on the Character Select Screen
and multiple copies of Hanenbow and Pokemon Stadium are on the Stage Select
Screen.
The loader you've chosen does not support SDHC loading, or the method of backup loading
your using has not been updated to support loading from an SDHC card. Use the Project M
launcher or try updating your other methods to the most recently available setup. Alternatively
you can also use a 2GB SD card with the 2GB version of the pack.

The game crashes when selecting *Insert Character, Costume or Stage Here*.
Check to make sure all files have copied over correctly and that the folder under
SD:/private/wii/app/rsbe/pf matches the size of the one from the pack.
If the problem is persistent with a particular set of characters and stages please report it to me
so I can fix it if the problem is on my end.

The game crashes when selecting "Brawl".

Make sure the hooktype under game settings in your loader is set to AXNextFrame. If crashing
continues check to ensure all files have properly been copied over.

The Stage Select Screen crashes.

If you're using the 4GB version with the Project M launcher I've been told this problem can
occasionally occur due to an error with wifi connection. Try disabling your wifi settings. If the
issue continues check to ensure all files have been properly copied over.

Gecko says "No SD codes found" before launching into regular Brawl.
This may be due to an incompatible version of Brawl. Only NTSC-U (North American) versions
are supported.

When using Dolphin, Gecko says "No SD codes found" before launching into
regular Brawl.
This is a Dolphin issue regarding the proper directory to store SD.raw. If you are using the
directory listed in the instructions and still have issues, try a fresh install of Dolphin before
continuing. This may also be due to an incompatible version of Brawl. Only NTSC-U (North
American) versions are supported.

When using Dolphin the game crashes on boot.

This is likely caused by an improperly patched iso. Try patching your iso again, make sure that it
is an NTSC-U version of Brawl.

When using Dolphin the game is missing background music.

This is likely caused by an improperly or unpatched iso. Try patching the iso again.

The game is crashing frequently at random.

Your SD card may be starting to wear out. Try another card and see if the problem persists.

Alternate Stages aren't working.

Loading Castle Siege or Lylat Cruise can cause the Alternate Stage Loader to lock up on a specific
set of stages. This can be fixed by rebooting the game.

Make sure you've followed the instructions correctly if using a wii remote. Wii remotes use the
following inputs for loading stages:
L = Up
R = Down
Z = Left
Y = Right
X=+

I'm using the Hackless version and the game isn't loading into Gecko at the Stage
Builder screen.
Make sure there are no stage builder stages currently stored on the SD card or on the Super
Smash Bros Brawl save file before copying over the pack.

I'm using a Wii U and the Hackless version and the game isn't loading into Gecko
at the Stage Builder screen.
Only insert the SD card after loading into brawl or else the Wii U will delete the file used to load
into Gecko OS without installing the homebrew channel. If the file has been deleted it can be
recopied from SD:/private/wii/app/rsbe/st . Make sure there are no stage builder stages
currently stored on the SD card or the save file before copying over the pack.
