ROȘIANU CASTEL

Roşianu Castle in Turburea commune is a castle with history, full of

pleasant memories, which remains in the fortress walls. It has long been said
that this castle belonged to the boyar Roşianu, but legends continue to appear
and weave the most beautiful stories. According to local authorities, the
castle, over 100 years old, will enter the tourist circuit. The elders of the village
are proud of such a castle, just in their commune. The children are already
dreaming of princes or princesses, having such an imposing building around
them. For some time, however, the castle remained silent, abandoned and
almost destroyed by the weather. Local authorities say they have already
submitted a letter to the Ministry of Development for this castle to be
rehabilitated even later, included in the historical and tourist circuit. The
history of the castle is very fascinating. Roşianu Castle is an old building, built
by an Italian architect named Pera, specially called by the Roşianu boyar.
After his death, the castle was transformed one by one into a town hall,
communal dispensary or maternity hospital. The castle was surrounded by
large, spacious living terraces. A building from where you could see,
practically the whole village of Poiana ", said a local woman. It seems that this
castle was of interest to many people, but most gave back, because, it seems,
the rehabilitation costs are very high. Moreover, according to the locals, the
authentic image made many directors want this castle as a setting for the
scenes in their films.
