 In Romania, the most famous and spectacular are the
muddy volcanoes from Beciu in the Buzău
Subcarpathians, between Berca and Arbănași.

In 1973, the "Colți Museum Collection" was inaugurated in

the village as a section of the Buzău County Museum. The
collection, also known as the Amber Museum in Colți, the
only one of its kind in Romania, consists of amber rocks, raw
and processed amber, tools used to extract and process
amber.

The Bozioru Rock Settlements

Stretching for 80 kilometers, the 30 cave settlements in
Buzău County are an inexhaustible source of stories
with energy portals, human disappearances and
hidden treasures of the boyars.

Pruncea waterfall and cave

 Living Fire is a natural phenomenon due to the
emanation of natural gas that come to the surface
through the cracks of the earth's crust forming
flames that burn, being lit by the sun's rays (or by
humans if the flame goes out).

We are waiting for you to visit the first peasant hub dedicated to the community of
Bisoca, in a village located in the middle of fairytale
lands. Here you can see the permanent exhibition
“the life of the Muntenian peasant”, temporary
exhibitions of several Romanian artists, but also a
house arranged in a traditional Bisocean style.

delta in

And what is the story of the troubadours, the
strangely shaped stones from the Land? We invite

Saline Meledic Karst Plateau

It is a protected natural area and unique in Europe due to the existing surface saline
formations that turn it into a very special place. It is
located in the Curburii Subcarpathians, more precisely at
the border between the Vrancea Subcarpathians and the
Buzău Subcarpathians.
 The White Stone of La Grunj
An atypical pyramidal shape of a stone
appeared in front of us, while we were crossing
the roads of Buzău county. It was declared a
natural monument and is a geological
reservation in the village of Mânzălești which is
located at the confluence of the river Slănic with
the stream Jgheab.

The house with coats of arms from Chiojdu

The name is given by the coats of arms above the
main entrance. The one in the middle
representing the bicephalous eagle, emblem of
the Byzantine emperors.

Lake Mocearu is located in the administrative area

of Chiliile commune, at an altitude of 775 meters.

Buzău County Museum is the main museum

institution in Buzău County. It currently operates in
the building of the former normal girls high school
built in 1920, included under the name of Buzău
County Museum, on the List of historical monuments
in Buzău County.
