is known for its famous and unique underground cities, such as
Cricova, located 11 kilometers from Chisinau and Milestii Mici, about
30 km south of Chisinau. While Cricova is the largest underground
complex, known worldwide for its huge labyrinths, with galleries with
a total length of 120 kilometers, the underground cellars Milestii Mici
have the largest collection of wines in the world (over 1.5 million
bottles of collection) and entered the Guinness Book of Records in
2005.
REZERVAŢIA CULTURAL-NATURALĂ ORHEIUL VECHI

It is located in the eastern part of the Republic of Moldova, only 60 km

from the capital, in the rocky gorge of the river Raut, in a place of strategic
importance, close to the river Dniester. The Orheiul Vechi complex is a
system made up of cultural and natural elements, where there are
archeological vestiges from all known epochs on the territory of the
Republic of Moldova and about 200 Christian cave complexes. Within the
limits of the Orheiul Vechi Landscape, 20 archeological sites are
documented, two of which are ensembles of particularly large proportions
traditionally named by the local population: Peștera and Butuceni.
MĂNĂSTIREA
ȚÎPOVA
At the Kniester's rocky bank (approx. 100 km north of
Chisinau) There is the largest Orthodox cave monastery in
Moldova, considered as one of the largest in Europe. The
Creation Monastery "Timova" is perfectly harmonized
with the surrounding nature, dug in limestone rocks. There
are several legends related to this place, and we remember
that, "Nice Stefan cel Mare, he knew with his wife
Voichiţa" and another who "says, as here, in this
monastery, he ended his life mythological poet.
CETATEA
SOROCA
It is found in the middle of Soroca, at about 160km
north of Chisinau and represents the city's business
card with the same name. It is the right place if you
want to feel the atmosphere of the medieval epoch.
The Soroca Fortress was built in the cross over the
Nistru on the site of older fortifications and is also
known as the Moldovan hosts under the leadership
of the famous State man Dimitrie Cantemir and the
Russian armies led by the Tsar
LUNCA PRUTULUI DE JOS

The Prut de Jos scientific reserve is a protected area located in the lower
course of the Prut River, including Lake Beleu and its surroundings, in
the southwest of the Republic of Moldova. Between Văleni villages and
Slobozia Mare in Cahul district, Lake Beleu is the ideal place for nature
lovers. The lake hosts the pelicans that are heading for the Danube, black
cigarettes, white egrets, gray stirring and other birds. During May-July,
Lake Beleu blooms white and yellow smokers. Through the impressive
diversity of habitats and life forms that it hosts in a relatively narrow
space, "the lower prutul" is a true museum of biodiversity.
REZERVAȚIA NATURALĂ
”CODRII”
In these reserves a rich "nature museum" operates in the hilly center of the
Republic of Moldova, on the Central Moldavian Plateau (Straseni district),
occupying approx. 40% of the surface of this high plateau. In the
reservation there is approximately 1000 plant species, 43 mammalian
species, 145 bird species, 7 reptile species, 10 species of amphibians and
more than 10 thousand insect species. The Natural Reserve "Codrii" is of
significant importance in the protection and multiplication of endangered
plant and animal species. At the same time, the reservation contributes to
the conservation of the biodiversity characteristic of the Republic of
Moldova, thereby improving the quality of the environment.
MĂNĂSTIREA
SAHARNA
Saharna is a village at Saharna Noua commune in Rezina,
Republic of Moldova, located about 110 km north of
Chisinau, on the right bank of the Dniester River, at an
altitude of 28 meters above sea level. The Saharna
Monastery, in its entire ensemble, is one of the oldest
monastic settlements in the Orthodox Church of the Republic
of Moldova, composed of two monasteries: a cape
(Bunavestire). The history of the Rupestre Monastery is very
little known, not knowing the foundation and who are the
founders.
VALEA ”O SUTĂ  DE
MOVILE”
Hundreds of Movile is a protected area near the
Prut, located in Rîşcani district, between the
Branch and Abrasian villages. From the name
"One hundred mounds" we can conclude that
they are 100, but in reality, according to
estimates, their number is much higher (over
3500), each with different heights, 15-30 m.
The valley of the one hundred Movile is part of
the Science Reserve.

paleontological nature in the Soroca district. In the steep rocks of that
valley there is the Bechir Creacher, considered the oldest arrived to this
day, probably dating from the 6th century. It is supposed, that it is a
church, dug in the rock that reminds of the cave settlements in various
corners of the Christian world. The cavern is located at a height of 12-
14 meters on a vertical, white limestone rock and is made up of a small
room facing the altar to the north and a small window to the south. The
interior is ornamented with stone-chopped constructive elements and
imitating the interior of a vintage wooden church.

placed on the bank of the Dniester, in Tighina, 61 km
