Does the best pop music always come from the UK or the USA? No, it doesn´t. A lot of
famous singers and band are Irish. Recent big names from Ireland include the bands.
The Corrs, Westlife and the rock band U2, not forgetting Ronan Keating and the latest
R&B girl singer, Samantha Mumba. Samantha has got strong opinions about
music. “I love Motown and I also like rap music but I don´t like girl bands very much. I
´ve got my own style, “she says”, and I´m proud of it. Samantha lives with her mother
and brother in Dublin, the capital of Ireland. Her next plan is to buy a big flat there.
Dublin is the best city in the world. When I finish a tour. I always want to come back to
Dublin. I love it.
