The Prevalence of Type (2) Two Diabetes in Adults

The National Health Service in the United Kingdom quoted, “Type 2 diabetes is a common condition that
causes the level of sugar (glucose) in the blood to become too high.” This is caused by a hormonal
imbalance called Insulin, which is a naturally occurring hormone made by your pancreas that helps your
body use sugar for energy.

This hormonal imbalance is caused by Insulin resistance which happens when muscles, fat and liver don’t
respond as it should to Insulin hence Hyperinsulinemia.

What are the causes of Type (2) Two Diabetes? It is no joke to refer this to the obvious unhealthy and
undeterred lifestyle however, it is genetically inherent, unfortunately. The Nature vs Nurture aspect
respectively would be Genetics, hypothyroidism, and Cushing syndrome while on the decision-making
lifestyle would be lack of exercise, eating high processed carbohydrates and saturated fat, chronic stress,
lack of sleep and even the long use of corticosteroids. A qualitative data collection Focus Group of
Nineteen physicians (74% endocrinologists; 26% primary care) clearly stated that patients need to be
checked regularly, be discipline in their healthy lifestyle as in in their diet, exercise and managing their
stress level.

In the United States of America, it is observed that the in take of ‘fast food’ at the endless Franchises
who look for enhancement of profitability rather than quality of health. It is clear of the endless
paradoxical promotion of what is considered ‘enticement and glamourous food for rush to work’ rather
than enhance the right ingredients to promote heath and time management at the same time. Nutrition
Diet, this researcher highly recommend would be home cooked food with the right balanced equalize
according to the Food Chart Pyramid displayed at https://possible.in/balanced-diet-chart.html .

Symptoms of this disease includes Fatigue, blurred vision, increased hunger, frequent urination, dry skin,
slow healing, numbness in hands and feet, and increased thirst, according to the CleavelandClinic.org

Is there help? Yes! “I am a type-2 diabetic, and they took me off medication simply because I ate right
and exercised. Diabetes is not like a cancer, where you go in for chemo and radiation. You can change a
lot through a basic changing of habits.” quoted - Sherri Shepherd.

Many have tried various ways to curb and live life to the fullest such as Tom Hanks, Sharon Stone, Halle
Berry, Randy Jackson, Nick Jonas, Salma Hayek just to name a few famous people. We have seen their
performances and its like Type two diabetes is non-existent in their life, however, with care and discipline
with lifestyle choices, I the researcher reiterates on, can make a huge difference.

The researcher can read your mind at this moment and safely say that you feel these famous people
have the money to ‘Fix Themselves’ but you can do so too with an endocrinologist, exercise, follow the
Pyramid of a Balanced Diet that helps you correct this hormonal imbalance. Choices as individuals to
make when we choose food and lifestyle should not waver with subliminal perception or even full-blown
unhealthy promotion.

About 38 million Americans have diabetes (about 1 in 10), and approximately 90-95% of them have type
2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes most often develops in people over age 45 (Centers for Diseases Control and
Prevention). The website Verywellhealth.com, ‘The Mediterranean diet, Keto Diet, Dietary Approaches
to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet, Paleo Diet and the Vegetarian, or plant-based diets can be a major
push to start dieting for Americans and across Worldwide.

In Conclusion, the researcher can clearly state that Type Two Diabetes can be treated and the patient can
live a full blown life with healthy choices.
