Ex: He lost the election because of the protest votes.
Ex: Did you vote for or against her?
4. Preferences (n) partiality, fondness, liking
Ex: Many people expressed a strong preference for the original plan.
5. Unable (adj) powerless (opp. able)
Ex: They have been unable or unwilling to resolve the conflict.
6. Agreement (n) accord
Ex: The agreement was signed during a meeting at the UN.
7. Concern (n) worry, anxiety
Ex: In the meeting, voters raised concerns about health care.
8. Conflict (n) argument, confrontation, encounter
Ex: The violence was the result of political and ethnic conflicts.

Ex: Several of the paintings were destroyed in the fire.
