This Office through the Curriculum Implementation Division will conduct the Division Virtual Scilympics with the theme: “Depicting Science Inclusivity for Proactive, Dynamic and Responsible Community” on February 16-18, 2022. 2. This three-day virtual activity aims to: ‘A. Identify the most creative/innovative and the best Science researchers, innovators and implementers who will represent the Division in the Regional, National, and International competitions and presentations; B. Conduct Science Congress to encourage district and school administrators, teachers and learners strengthen Science advocacies and activities; C. Recognize teachers, Department Heads, School Heads and Public Schools District Supervisors who display highest form of integrity, genuine commitment, unfaltering care, irrefragable competence and exemplary performances in the implementation of Science Programs, Projects and Activities (PPAs); D. Depict Science inclusivity in various special curricular programs; E. Promote academic excellence in Science through academic contests, ‘camaraderie and sportsmanship; and F. Demonstrate commitment in strengthening scientific, environmental, and technological literacies. 3. The Public Schools District Supervisors, School Heads In-Charge of Science, Elementary and Secondary School Heads and Department Heads are advised to conduct their respective District/School Scilympics in order to determine their official district representatives. 8. The participants from private schools shall make the necessary arrangement with their respective school heads/administrators as to their participation and online registration. 9. This event shall include the various special curricular programs of DepEd depicting science inclusivity, to wit: Regular Program; ‘Special Science Program (SSES/STE); ‘Special Education (SPED) Program; Alternative Learning System (ALS) Education Program; Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) Education Program; Indigenous Peoples Education (IPEd) Program; Multigrade Education Program; and Madrasah Education Program (Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education- ALIVE Program), 10. The activity materials, other expenses relative to the conduct of the event, i.e. food and snacks of resource speakers and management staff, additional materials and incidental expenses in the DVS Management Team venue shall be charged from the Division Regular Human Resource Training and Development (HRTD) Fund. 12. Travel expenses of the Division Virtual Scilympics Management Team, Technical ‘Working Groups and Resource Speakers to and from the different venues shall be charged against local and other sources of funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 13. They must also adhere to the minimum public health standards set by the IATF/DOH and compliance with the response letter of Pangasinan Provincial Health Office to this office regarding the minimum public health standards on the ‘conduct of face-to-face activities. 15. Considering the importance of the Scilympics, Public Schools District Supervisors, Public and Private School Heads/Administrators, DVSMT, TWGs and all concerned are enjoined to extend full support and cooperation, 16.
