FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a part of the educational process, all accounts are considered to be the primary responsibility of the student. Failure
to meet any terms of the financial agreement may result in the cancellation of the student’s campus privileges or enrollment
until payment has been made. The student promises to pay Tabor College (the College), in accordance with the College’s
policies, any and all balances due after charges and credits have been applied to his or her account(s). If additional amounts or
charges are added to this Promissory Note after payments commence, such additional amounts and charges will be due and
payable as outlined below. See below for communication details1.
PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS
Accounts must be paid in full at the beginning of each semester. If the account is not paid in full a monthly payment
plan (MPP) must be established with and approved by an authorized Business Office representative. Terms of the MPP can be
found in the Financial Information Booklet. A finance charge of $100.00 will be added per semester for any arrangement other
than payment in full at the beginning of each semester. A minimum payment of 20% of the balance due applied toward the
student account balance must be made before the first day of classes for each semester. If the 20% payment and a signed
promissory note are not completed before the first day of classes, a late financial settlement fee of $250 will be added to the
student’s account (may not be applicable to online students). This document may be used as the promissory note. The remaining
balance will be paid over the next four months of the semester. Monthly payments must be made by the 20th of each month and
a ten-day grace period will be allowed. If no payment has been made by the end of the grace period, a $30 late fee will be added
to the student’s account. If the payment plan is extended or the balance is not paid by the end of the payment period, a $250 late
financial settlement fee may be added to the student’s account.
An alternative MPP may be established, only if it has been arranged prior to the first day of classes for each semester,
documented in writing, signed by both the student and an authorized Business Office representative, and on file in the Business
Office. Additionally, the student acknowledges that the assessment of charges indicated the intention of the student to receive
services from the College and to remit payment for services, fees, and any qualified educational expenses. The student
authorizes Tabor College to charge qualified educational expenses along with any student fines to his or her account and directs
Federal Title IV financial aid grants and loans to be applied as payment against those charges. Diplomas and transcripts will not
be released nor subsequent registration allowed until an individual’s account is paid in full. The process of administrative
dismissal may be initiated by the Vice President for Business and Finance in consultation with other members of the college
administration if the terms of the College’s payment policies are not met. If the student withdraws, for any reason, the student
will be liable for all charges and fees that have occurred as is outlined in the Financial Information Booklet.
COMMUNICATION
A current statement of account either printed and distributed or available online through Campus Café (https://tab-
web.scansoftware.com/cafeweb/login) will serve as notification of balance.
COLLECTIONS
All unpaid student account balances will become immediately due and payable if (1) any scheduled payments are not
received by the College within 10 days of when due, or (2) the College believes that the prospect of full or monthly payment is
significantly impaired. Failure to meet payment terms or the terms of a College promissory note may result in, but not limited
to, denial of privileges or the early dismissal of the student.
If it becomes necessary to engage an outside agency for the collection of unpaid charges, the agency’s fees, which may
be based on a percentage of the debt, will be the responsibility of the student in default and the account will be considered
unpaid until the agency’s fees have been collected from the individual. Transcripts will be withheld until all account charges
and collection fees have been paid in full. Continuing or subsequent enrollment at Tabor College (all undergraduate and
graduate programs) will be suspended while accounts are held by the outside collection agency. The assessment of charges
indicates the intention of an individual to receive services from Tabor College and to remit payment for services. By receiving
services, the individual gives authorization to the college and its respective agents, agencies and contractors to be contacted for
collection of all accounts. The student gives authorization to Tabor College and its respective agents and contractors to be
contacted (regarding the delinquent student account, including the repayment of their account) at the current or any future
contact number or information that is provided, including his/her cellular phone or other wireless device using automated
telephone dialing equipment or artificial or pre-recorded voice or text messages.

I understand and agree to the terms and policies stated above which are a part of other documented policies of the College.
