Cand se foloseste Present Tense Simple?

1. We use Present Simple to talk about habits /routine ( se foloseste pentru

obiceiuri / actiuni obisnuite, care se repeta)

I brush my teeth every day.

I go to the gym every Sunday.

In acest caz, in propozitie avem un adverb de timp care arata faptul ca actiunea se repeta
periodic:

Exemplu:
every (day/week/ month/year…)
every day = in fiecare zi
Always= mereu
usually = de obicei
often = adesea, desori, des
seldom = rar, rareori
sometimes = uneori
Never=niciodata

OBS. Adverbele de frecventa se folosesc inaintea verbului

I usually go to bed before 10 .
Exceptie face verbul TO BE
I am always happy when I talk to you.

2. General truth and facts ( adevaruri general valabile )

Water boils at 100 degrees. (Apa fierbe la 100 grade Celsius).

3. Permanent situations ( situatii permanente)

I live in Romania.(Eu locuiesc in Romania ).
Dad works in a factory .(Tata lucreaza la o fabrica)

4. Pentru a exprima o actiune programata in viitor, in special atunci cand se specifica

momentul producerii ei:

We meet him tonight. Ne intalnim cu el diseara.

sau un program oficial :

 School starts in September.

The bus leaves at 9.

Cand se foloseste Present Continuous?

1.we use the Present Continuous for actions happening now ( se foloseste pentru
actiuni ce au loc in momentul vorbirii):

The baby is sleeping at the moment. Bebelusul plange acum.

Listen!Dad is singing .asculta!tata canta.

2.for fixed future arrangements (planuri imediate pentru viitorul apropiat)

We are leaving tomorrow. Plecam maine.

3.Temporary situations (actiune temporara )

I usually live with my parents, but this week I am staying with my gradma.De obicei
locuiesc cu parintii, dar zilele acestea stau cu bunica.

4.to talk about changing situations. (pentru situatii ce se schimba)

The weather is getting warmer.Vremea se incalzeste .

5.With always, constantly, for annoyance ( impreuna cu always, constantly pentru o

actiune care irita vorbitorul)

Ann is always interrupting me.Ana ma intrerupe mereu.

Adv . folosite cu Present Continuous:

Now, at the moment, these days , etc.
