If there are things you are not familiar with, just search on Google or YouTube
how to make them.

Step 1
Choose the templates that are appropriate with your size, highlight the
corresponding lines with a marker, copy them onto tracing paper (or usual paper),
seams are already included. Cut the templates out.

For example, my size is S/M, so, that is what I am highlighting and then cutting
out (Picture 1)

* You can process the seams with overlock or using zigzag stitch on your sewing
machine.

*Before sewing the details together on the sewing machine, pin them or sew them
together by hands

*It is better at first to sew a draft using cheap fabric

Step 2
Fold fabric in half; place horizontally Front and Back pieces, put waistband on
fold. Cut out the details. (1)

Details: 2 symmetrical front pieces, 2 symmetrical back pieces, 1 waistband. (2)

Step 3
Put right sides together Front and Back pieces (1), sew together their lateral sides
(2). Process the seams. Repeat the same for the other leg.

Step 4
Turn one of the leg details out and put it inside the other one (1), combining the
seams (now the details are right sides together). Sew right sides together seat seam
3
(curvy line that looks like letter U) (1 cm/ inch seam allowance) (2). (Picture 4)

Process the seam. Turn the pants out.

Step 5
Sizes Width of a pleate
XXS – S 5
1.5 cm/ inch

S/M – M/L 7
2 cm/ inch
8
L – XL 2.5 cm/ 1 inch

7
My size is S/M, so I will make 2 cm/ inch wide pleats.
8

Mark the middle of the left Front piece. Mark 4 cm/ 1.5 inch from each side of the
middle. Make 2 folds towards left; each pleate consists of 3 layers and its width is
6 2
2 cm/ inch. Make a sewing line to fasten the folds 0, 7 cm/ inch from the upper
8 8
edge.

Repeat the same for the right Front piece, but now fold towards right.

Step 6
Attach interfacing to the wrong side of the waistband.

Fold waistband in half horizontally (right sides together) (1), sew its ends together
3
(1 cm/ inch seam allowance) (2). (Picture 7)
8

Fold waistband in half vertically (wrong sides together) (3, 4).

Put folded waistband and upper edge of the pants right sides together (firstly
3
combine their seams together) (1) and sew catching all of the 3 layers (1 cm/ inch
8
seam allowance) (2).

Leave a space about 5 cm/ 2 inch long (2). Attach a safety pin to the end of the
elastic and pull it through the waistband (3, 4). Sew together both ends of the
elastic by putting one on top of the other (with zigzag stitch several times at one
place) making sure the pants will not be too lose or too tight at waist. (5). Sew the
hole (6). Process the seam. (Picture 8)

Step 7
3 6
Hem the bottoms of the legs. Fold lower sides for 1 cm/ inch, then for 2 cm/
8 8
6 2
inch or for 2 cm/ and then for 3 cm/ 1 ” (depends on how long you want your
8 8
pants to be). Sew close to the edge. (Picture 9)

If you want to make the legs shorter make a fold bigger (or even cut the excess if
the pants are the way too long for you). Try the pants on before that.

Your pants are done!
