PRODUCTION

The
production process of the company is YARN, KNITTING, DYEING,
COMPACTING, CUTTING, STITCHING, EMBROIDARY, PRINTING,
CHECKING, IRONING / PACKING, DISPATCHING

Theproduction is based upon the preferences of the customers. The company


produces high quality goods.

PRODUCTION

 YARN:
Yarn is a long continuous length of interlocked fibers, suitable for use in the production of
textiles, sewing, crocheting, knitting, weaving, embroidery, and rope-making.
 KNITTING:
In this process the yam is converted into series of loops, which has two parts-sinker loop
and needle loop. Loop is denoted as stich.
 DYEING:
After Knitting the cloth is sent for dyeing. The process is usually done by immersing in a
bath of dye, the colors will be dyed directly into the fabric
 COMPACTING:
Compacting is the process of steam ironing to avoid shrinkage. Through this process the
cloth roll can be enlarged by one or two inches.
 CUTTING:
The cloth after compacting is cut into desired shapes and sizes provided by the buyers
PRODUCTION

 STICHING:
At this stage the required garments are stitched using overlock and flat lock machines. The
garments get into a shape and are ready for further processing.
 PRINTING:
Printing on the fabric is done according to the requirement of the buyer. Some orders
require printing and some do not.
 CHECKING:
The garments are checked after stitching while checking the stitches, holes, extra threads.

Ironing makes the garment look presentable and easy for packing.
 PACKING:
The garments is packed as per the requirements of buyers the price tag, size labels.,

It is the traditional method of production in which one operator or small team is
made one complete garment at the time by carrying out all the sewing process necessary to
assemble a garment. The individual type of assembling garment is more common with
homemakers, local tailors, boutiques, etc..

When products are made in a factory, there will be a system to ensure everything
runs smoothly . Types of production in the textile industry are

The progressive bundle is a traditional production system that has been widely
used in the apparel industries for many decades and still is today.in this type bundle of
garments parts are moved in sequence from one sewing machine operator to the next.
The success of PB type is depends on how the production system is set up and used in a
plant.

 Unit production
the unit production for apparel industry is a flexible material handling system
that requires a computerized overhead transportation system to move the garments
components automatically from one workstation to the next according to the pre-
determined sequence. In the fast moving fashion and apparel industry this is highly
essential.
 Modular production system
the modular production system is the perfect solution for the apparel
manufacturer where quick response is needed. This system is also popular as cellular
garment manufacturing , flexible work groups.
FINDINGS AND SUGGESTIONS

 This company has various department for all sectors


 They are maintaining each storekeeper to supply raw materials to produce the
product
 Packaging are done by the workers only .to develop the packaging by machine
automatically
 Transport play an main role in supplying the product produced in the industry
 Finance department keeps records of all payments and receipts of that entire
company
 Human resource department has recruiting the staffs for various department where
they wanted
 To improve the chemical lab of the industry
 Working time for workers is based up on the shift format
CONCLUSION

 From the institutional training under taken in REVATHI PROCESSING MILL (P) LTD, I
came to know about various activities involved in the garments production and I have
completed my training with satisfied manner.

 The Indian Garment Industry is taking cue from international standards as well as the
burgeoning consumer appetite to create their own growth path. Fashion companies are Laking
a much larger perspective of this industry in India and consolidating their position to face it. On
the other hand, the Indian consumer is at a preliminary stage of development and yet due to
international exposure trying to keep pace with the international fashion scene creating
unprecedented pressure on companies to perform. This is a window of opportunity which the
"REVATHI PROCESSING MILL" should make the most of before it reaches maturity which
will signify slowdown.
