WE ARE CHUN HOE TRADING
Chun Hoe Trading Sdn Bhd is a reputable company that provides building materials and hardware in
Malaysia. Based in Batu Pahat, Johor, we specialise in the manufacturing, export and trading of metal
and steel wire products in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Being an ISO and SIRIM accredited company, we have gained well-deserved praises and return clients,
providing high-quality metal and steel wire products to building construction and civil engineering
industry. With our broad knowledge and over four decades of experience in the industry, we will
continue to innovate and improve our product offerings and service delivery respectively, ensuring
every deliverable of our valued clients and partners are met with utmost satisfaction.

OUR STORY

Our story began with the establishment of the company in

the 1970s. We started our business by trading fence nets
to individuals and commercial premises and supplying them
for minor contracting projects. After years of trading, we
discovered that trading activity was heavily influenced and
controlled by the supplier, which was evident when there
was a fixed minimum quota for units of purchase. Moreover,
the transportation time was often limited, and there were
instances where we faced out-of-stock situations that affected
our goods delivery to the clients. Hence, we decided to invest
in an old fence net machine to solve the shortage problem.

The investment marked a significant milestone for us

towards product innovation. In 1993, the company was
officially registered as Chun Hoe Trading Sdn Bhd, validating
our presence in the industry. As a company, we continued
to grow, and so did our clients’ demand for BRC products
and materials. Hence, we started looking for BRC suppliers
and learning to familiarise ourselves with the process and
transition from wire rod to BRC.

We concluded the year 2000 with several notable successes,

including a SIRIM certification for our quality products. Three
years later, the recognition led us to diversify our product
offerings, manufacturing building materials including BRC,
steel bar, etc.

We believe that filial piety is an essential Confucian virtue

that should act as a fulcrum on how we should conduct our
personal and business relationship. In 2006, we brought that
belief into fruition with the brand “Yan-Zi Brand Iron Nail”. The
brand name was inspired by the word “Yan”, which is the name
of our founder’s mother. On a personal level, the brand is
our well-intentioned gift and gratitude towards the founder’s
mother, recognising her role in supporting the successful
growth of the company.

Our product innovations continued with the manufacturing of

our current main BRC fence and stone net (gabion). Today,
Chun Hoe Trading has grown and expanded tremendously
in terms of business and production size, making us one of
the largest metal wire products manufacturers in Malaysia.
Also, we have gained a pool of satisfied clients and partners
who admire our quality products. Above all, we will continue
to deliver according to their business needs and personal
preference.

V-Press Fencing is an upgrade version of BRC
fence by creating a crest profile (V shape bend)

FENCING GATE
We provide a wide range of metal fencing gate
including garden, driveway, residential commercial
and agricultural gates. They are highly durable, low
maintenance and made using the anti-climb fence,
BRC fence and V-Press fence. Also, we provide

 OUR PRODUCTS

GABIONS & MATTRESSES

Gabions are rectangular baskets stoutly made
of hexagonal steel wire mesh strengthened by
selvedge of heavier wire and by mesh diaphragms.
They are often used for earth retention and erosion
control. Unlike rigid structures, they are flexible and
well suited to projects over unstable foundations.
They possess tremendous strength and require little
maintenance.
If your project covers an area where less depth and
more surface area protection is required, a special
type of gabion is used, namely Mattresses. They are
wider, with less depth and often used as flexible
foundation slabs under gabions.
Desired properties for various components for
fabrication of wire mesh gabions are as follows:

We deliver our gabions flat-packed, which can be

assembled and then filled with stones at the project
site.

BRC WIRE MESH

B.R.C. is the initials of the name of a company called British Reinforcement Company Ltd first to manufacture
a wire mesh fabric to be used in the construction industry. It is similar to that of a steel mesh used in flooring
construction but on a smaller scale and is used in surface reinforcement such as ground slabs, walkways,
driveways, pavements and possibly in some cases roadways.

BARBED WIRE
Barbed wires usually comprise two longitudinal
wires twisted together to form cable and having wire
bards wound around either of both of the cable wires
at regular intervals. They are easy to construct and

RAZOR BARBED WIRE

The multiple blades of a razor-wire fence are
designed to inflict severe cuts on anyone attempting
to climb through and therefore have a strong
psychological deterrent effect. Razor wire is used
in many high-security applications. Although it can
be circumvented relatively quickly by humans with
tools, penetrating a razor-wire barrier without tools
is very slow and challenging, giving security forces
more time to respond.

Wire nails are mostly used for very rough and heavy-

GEOTEXTILE
Non-woven geotextiles are manufactured by bonding
materials together, either through chemical or heat,
needle punching or other methods. They’re made of
synthetics and most often used in filter or separation
applications. Non-woven geotextiles are the right
choice for projects where pooling water is a major
concern.
