Preambles;
WHERE AS , With a focus on educational outcomes rather than only punitive measures,
the student disciplinary methods indicated in this code seek to address transgressions equitably
and effectively. Creating a culture of comprehension, education, and development is the main
goal instead of just penalizing bad behavior.
GENERAL PROVISSION
1. SHORT TITLE
2. Definition
1. "Student" means an individual, who enrolled in the registry of the debrebrehan
university in the form of regular or extension program or in another way the one
who enrolled in a pre-graduate or post-graduate or enrolling in another course.
2. "University" means all colleges, research institutes, schools and colleges found
at the debrebrehan University
3. The community of the university means all the society of the debrebrehan
university
4. Disciplinary committee means a committee in debrebrehan university which
established pursuant to this regulation for the purpose of determining students
disciplinary violations
5. Student union means an organization which selected by the whole students to
represent their interests in debrebrehan university
6. President means the highest-ranking official who provides leadership and
sets the strategic direction for the debrebrehan university
7. Collage dean means the chief administrative officer responsible overall the
