Preambles;

WHERE AS , As members of our academic community, we support the creation of a setting

that is secure, welcoming, and courteous in order to stimulate both intellectual and personal
development. All students are expected to abide by the rules and standards for behavior and
conduct set forth in the Student Code of Conduct.

WHERE AS ,Debereberhan university have responsibility to enforce the rights and

obligations and is therefore committed to maintain a positive learning working and living
environment for its community

WHERE AS , Debrebrehan university is dedicated to maintaining high standards of

behavior and encouraging ethical conduct in all facets of student life in order to promote a safe
and conducive learning environment for all students. This student code of conduct helps to
maintain a pleasant, courteous, and welcoming environment within the university community
by outlining the rights, obligations, and standards that each and every student must follow.

WHERE AS , With a focus on educational outcomes rather than only punitive measures,
the student disciplinary methods indicated in this code seek to address transgressions equitably
and effectively. Creating a culture of comprehension, education, and development is the main
goal instead of just penalizing bad behavior.

NOW THEREFORE, DEBREBREHAN UNIVERSITY develops its code of conduct and

disciplinary measure incase of violation as follows.
 PART ONE

GENERAL PROVISSION

1. SHORT TITLE

This rule is called Debreberehan university student code of conduct and

disciplinary measure rule and regulations NO. 3/2023.

2. Definition
1. "Student" means an individual, who enrolled in the registry of the debrebrehan
university in the form of regular or extension program or in another way the one
who enrolled in a pre-graduate or post-graduate or enrolling in another course.
2. "University" means all colleges, research institutes, schools and colleges found
at the debrebrehan University
3. The community of the university means all the society of the debrebrehan
university
4. Disciplinary committee means a committee in debrebrehan university which
established pursuant to this regulation for the purpose of determining students
disciplinary violations
5. Student union means an organization which selected by the whole students to
represent their interests in debrebrehan university
6. President means the highest-ranking official who provides leadership and
sets the strategic direction for the debrebrehan university
7. Collage dean means the chief administrative officer responsible overall the
management of the collages in debrebrehan university
8. Social service means

3. scope of the application

1. This rule is apply to everyone enrolled as a students in debrebrehan university.
2. this regulation will be effective on the student from the date of he enrolled up to he
released the university.
 3. this rule is apply to everyone students in university garden and out of garden up to
tebase asphalt road.
4. this rule is does not apply on university community which they are non-student.

4. EXCEPTIONS
