Sub: Advance Intimation for Allotment of Examination City to the Applicants of Mains
Examination (Paper I and Paper II) i.e. Phase 2 for the Post of Examiner of Patents and Designs–
Reg.
The National Testing Agency conducted the Preliminary Exam (Phase 1) for the Post of Examiner
of Patents and Designs against 553 vacancies under DR quota in the Patent Office at 260 Centres
located in 103 cities throughout the country on 21 December 2023 (Thursday) for about 89657
candidates. The result for the Preliminary exam was declared on 10 January 2024 on the website
https://exams.nta.ac.in/DPIIT/
The candidates who have qualified the Preliminary Exam (Phase 1) will be eligible to appear for the
Mains Examination (Paper I and Paper II). The National Testing Agency is now conducting the
Mains Examination (Paper I and Paper II) i.e. Phase 2 for the Post of Examiner of Patents and
Designs at different Centres located in various cities throughout the country as per the details given
below:

The candidates are required to check/download their Examination City Intimation slip of
Mains Examination (Paper I and Paper II) i.e. Phase 2 for the Post of Examiner of Patents and
Designs (using their Application No. and Date of Birth) from the website
https://exams.nta.ac.in/DPIIT/ and https://nta.ac.in/ w.e.f. 15 January 2024 and go through the
instructions contained therein.
The Candidates may please note that this is NOT the Admit Card for Mains Examination (Paper
I and Paper II) i.e. Phase 2 for the Post of Examiner of Patents and Designs. This is advance
information for the allotment of the City where the Examination Centre will be located, to facilitate
the candidates. The Admit Card of Recruitment shall be issued later.

for Mains Examination (Paper I and Paper II) i.e. Phase 2 for the Post of Examiner of Patents
