Part B - Authentic Characters

Read the Masterclass about why it is important to create dynamic characters:

“We all have experiences watching movies or reading books with flat characters that lack
substance or don’t seem believable. Engaging in a thorough character development process can
help you create strong characters that hook an audience from the first page of your book or
opening scene of your film.”

It is important to ensure that the characters in your series are engaging and dynamic. You need to imagine
their backstory so that they are authentic. Write 150-200 words about your character. You can write
about:

● Your character’s motivation/goals/objectives

● Your character’s conflict in the episode/series
● Your character’s history (e.g. childhood)

Simon, the 18-year-old enigmatic mastermind, is not your typical teenage protagonist. As the boss of a
notorious drug cartel, he commands respect and fear across multiple countries, earning fame through the
cartel's unparalleled productivity. Charismatic and intelligent, Simon navigates the criminal underworld
with a cunning edge. His courage and craziness set him apart, making him a force to be reckoned with.

Simon's primary objective is to maintain control and expand the influence of his cartel. With a sharp
mind, he strategically plans each move, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to success. His
conflict arises from the ongoing rivalry with Thomas, another cartel leader, creating a dynamic tension
that fuels the series.

Despite his criminal pursuits, Simon has a complex history that shaped him into the leader he is today.
His childhood, marked by adversity, instilled resilience and resourcefulness. Simon's relationships with
other characters in the series, particularly his good links with Orion, a loyal member of his cartel,
showcase his ability to inspire loyalty even in the perilous world he inhabits.

Simon's character embodies the duality of charm and ruthlessness, making him a compelling and
unpredictable figure in the series. His interactions with others, especially the alliances and conflicts with
Orion and Thomas, add layers of intrigue to the narrative, ensuring a captivating and dynamic storyline.

Part C - Character Aesthetics

Characters are not just defined by their traits and actions; their style and choice of music can speak
volumes about who they are. In this activity, you will explore your character's fashion sense and musical
preferences. Follow these steps to bring your character to life visually and sonically.

● Create an outfit for your character. You can use images or describe the outfit.
