Catechism of the Catholic Church

What is the Article 1732 of the Catechism?

1732 As long as freedom has not bound itself
definitively to its ultimate good which is God, there is
the possibility of choosing between good and evil, and
thus of growing in perfection or of failing and sinning.
This freedom characterizes properly human acts. It is
the basis of praise or blame, merit or reproach.

What is the CCC 1750?

“The morality of human acts depends on the object
chosen, the end in view or the intention and the
circumstance of the action” (CCC 1750.) For an act to
be morally good, all three components – object,
intention and circumstances—must be good (cf CCC
1755).

New American Bible (Revised Edition)

28 When all Israel heard the judgment the king had

given, they were in awe of him, because they saw
that the king had in him the wisdom of God for
giving right judgment.
