Nutritional deficiency disease
Kwashiorkor is a nutritional defiencey disease cause by lack of proteins. It's most
common in some developing regions where babies and children do not get enough
protein in their diet. The main sign of kwashiorkor is too much fluid in the body's tissues,
which causes swelling under the skin (oedema). To avoid kwashiorkor we must eat food
that contains proteins such as chicken beans eggs fish milk

Symptoms for kwashiorkor

• Slow growth
• Wasting away of muscles
• Swollen tummy
• Swollen legs and feet
• Child is very week and irritable
• Hair colour turns rust
• Skin depigmented

Scurvy

Scurvy is deficiency disease caused by lack of vitamin C in the diet. A person suffering
from scurvy will develop sores on the lips and mouth. A person will also have swollen
and bleeding gums. To avoid scurvy, one must take a diet that contain vegetables and
fruits.

The way light reflects off mirrors is very much like the way a ball bounces against a hard
surface. If a ball thrown down, it bounces at an angle and it bounces off the floor at the same
angle away.

Light reflects off the mirror the same way. In other words, light reflects from a mirror at the
same angle as it arrives .the picture shows how light travels when it reflects with lines and
arrows. We call a line of light a ray.

The water cycle

Water on Earth is constantly moving. It is recycled over and over again. This recycling
process is called the water cycle.

1. Water evaporates into the air

The sun heats up water on land, in rivers, lakes and seas and turns it into water vapour.
The water vapour rises into the air.

2. Water vapour condenses into clouds

Water vapour in the air cools down and changes back into tiny drops of liquid water,
forming clouds.

3. Water falls as precipitation

The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the ground in the form of rain or snow.

4. Water returns to the sea

Rain water runs over the land and collects in lakes or rivers, which take it back to the sea.
The cycle starts all over again.
